The Perfect Pumpkin Pie 11 reviews
Atheneum/Richard Jackson Books, 2005
old-fashioned Grimes-style book Dealing with death right off the bat and the expression "passed on," this book is not for everyone. However, it has clever twists that entertain the young reader and the older reader. I first read it to a 3 and 7-year-old. They took turns finding the spiders and turning the pages. Before long, they were saying the song-poetry-refrain with me. A no-nonsense grandma, an unafraid boy--but what a ...

Minnie and Moo: The Night of the Living Bed (I Can Read Book 3) 5 reviews
HarperTrophy, 2004
We still laugh just looking at the cover! This was the first book of Minnie & Moo that my son and I read. Gees, we couldn't stop laughing. It got to the point where I had to put the book down and catch my breath. We both love this book and have read it everytime we find it... in the book store, in the library, at a friend's house or at home. My son now look for these books and laughs from just the cover!
A WONDERFUL Read! Enjoy!

Minnie and Moo Meet Frankenswine (I Can Read Book 3) 3 reviews
HarperTrophy, 2002
Huge hit at our house! We have read other Minnie and Moo books, but this one is the best so far - we laugh so hard every time we read it! We borrowed it from the library for our 5-year old daughter and every night for a week, it has been the first book we read and the last book we read every night. Highly recommended from our household!

Musk of Zorro (Minnie and Moo) 4 reviews Denys Cazet
Live Oak Media, 2003
We Could be Heroes--Just for One Day This is a zany, beautifully illustrated children's book that will have most adults laughing as well. Minnie and Moo are two cows whose main gift is the ability to give a gallon of milk each day. But Moo, wanting more, and inspired by a book of heroes called "The Musk of Zorro," persuades Minnie that they should and could be heroes. They take their cues from a misread "Zorro" book (or a version ...

Minnie and Moo and the Thanksgiving Tree (Minnie & Moo) 6 reviews Denys Cazet, Barbara Caruso
Live Oak Media, 2002
Great book for beginning readers Cazet's books not only build confidence for emergent readers, but they have subtle humor and let you ask some simple questions about plot that aren't simply written in the story. The children loved the story, the characters and were hooked on reading other books by the same author. I read this with my first year (grade) students.

Minnie and Moo Go to the Moon (Minnie and Moo) 5 reviews Denys Cazet
DK CHILDREN, 1998
Minnie and Moo, two wacky cows, go for a unique tracker ride This uproariously funny book had every one --adults included -- laughing throughout. Minnie, always the logician, decides that all she needs to drive the farmer's tracker are his boots and hat. A skeptical Moo joins her for a tumultuous ride through the farm yard, passed a flying pig to...the moon? We loved the magic words the cows used to get the tracker started. The moonsters looked ...

Elvis the Rooster and the Magic Words (I Can Read Book 3) 1 review
HarperTrophy, 2005
Elvis is back! Elvis the rooster is back for an all new adventure. He's still the same proud rooster he alsways was and bosses all the chickens in the hen house around. Things go well for him until a visitor shows up. The visitor is Cluck Gabel, a peacock. Chuck is very well mannered. The chickens enjoy being treated with respect and refuse to help out Elvis until he changes his ways Will he be able to ...

Minnie and Moo Go to Paris (Minnie and Moo) 2 reviews Denys Cazet
DK CHILDREN, 1999
Minnie and Moo Go To Paris Yes, this is a children's book, but then again, it isn't. I dare any person who calls themselves a grown-up to read any of the "Minnie and Moo" books and not get the urge to laugh out loud. Go ahead, though, and find a kid to read it to if you're too self-conscious to laugh out loud by yourself. There are plenty of opportunities to use your scary voices, animal noises and ...

Minnie and Moo: The Night Before Christmas (I Can Read Book 3) 2 reviews
HarperCollins, 2002
I am bummed that my son is 10 years old... He's outgrown the Minnie and Moo series. Fortunately, I have nieces who are younger. These are funny books! The catch line in all of the books is "I was thinking, Moo" and then trouble usually starts. Now anytime I'm talking to my husband and say "I was thinking..." He says, Uh Oh Minnie.
Fun books for kids and their parents. Enjoy!

Never Spit On Your Shoes (Orchard Paperbacks) 4 reviews Denys Cazet
Scholastic, 1993
A very funny look at the trials of first grade The title of this book put me off a bit but my first grader absolutely loved it. After I picked it up, I could see why. It is a terrifically funny, endearing look at the first day of first grade. A surefire winner among kids in the 5-6 age range.

Minnie and Moo & the Seven Wonders of the World (Minnie & Moo)
Atheneum/Richard Jackson Books, 2003
Minnie and Moo are the best of friends. Moo has her books. Minnie has her espresso machine. Farm life is good. Almost perfect. Until Moo overhears the not-so-good news that the farmer needs money so desperately that he must sell the farm. No! He mustn't! Not if Minnie and Moo can help it. Not if the other animals are willing to follow our heroines on a paid tour of Moo's version of the Seven Wonders of the World. Not if that thing in the woods ...

Minnie and Moo Go Dancing (Minnie and Moo (Live Oak Paperback)) 9 reviews Denys Cazet
Live Oak Media, 2000
Funny, funny, funny! My 7 yr. old daughter had this on her 2nd grade summer reading list for school. We got it from the library and laughed so hard while reading it. She must have read it 5 times out loud to every family member she could find. I decided to buy some M&M books for my almost 7 yr. old niece for her b'day. It's a great 1st grade to 2nd grade reading level book. Content wise, ages 6-8 will get most of ...
