U.s. Armed Forces Nuclear, Biological And Chemical Survival Manual20 reviews
John Boswell

Basic Books, 2003

Vital Info
As someone who served in the Army, I have had plenty of NBC training and can say that this book is something that everyone should take the time to read. In fact I learned even more from this book because it is presented in a way that anyone can understand, and it is targeted for use by the civilian population. READ IT, it may save your life one day.

Down Range: Navy SEALs in the War on Terrorism28 reviews
Dick Couch

Three Rivers Press, 2006

Humbling to Read About Such Dedicated Service
Apart from being exciting and informative,it is impossible to put down this book without the utmost respect for the men serving our country (and indeed all of mankind) in the world's most dangerous places. This is real, these men are heroes, and we must all hope that they succeed in their missions. Clearly, we couldn't put our hopes in any better warriors.

Pressure Point3 reviews
Dick Couch

Pocket Star, 2006

If you like Clancy, you should love Couch
I love the technothriller. I love special operations type adventure novels. This one is a pretty darn good read. One of my favs of the genre. Terrorists seize a Washington state ferry to help seize a Trident nuke sub to threaten a China syndrome at sea. Delta Force, Army Rangers and a ' direct action ' SEAL platoon get activated to snatch it back and prevent a nuclear / environmental disaster. ...

Seal Team One2 reviews
Dick Couch

Naval Institute Press, 2008

Best Seal Novel
Dick Couch was a REAL navy Seal officer, (vs the usual phoneys who are crawling out of the woodwork). This is probably the best novel ever written about Viet Nam seal operations. I rate it up there with "The Element of Surprise" with "Element" being possible the best non-fiction book. Couch's other fiction books are , unfortunatly not as good.

Silent Descent1 review
Dick Couch

Berkley, 1994

A great action/adventure novel
I read Silent Descent a few years ago, but I remember it prefectly. It was the first novel I ever read by Couch and I found it to be thoroughly enjoyable. Couch has a knack for making you care about the characters in his books which makes the books all the more exciting and suspensefull. If you read this book you have to read Rising Wind which is the sequel. These two books are incredible, ...

Rising Wind9 reviews
Dick Couch

Avon, 1998

An excellent suspense thriller
This was a good read, one that often compels you to read just one more chapter before the light goes off. This one has a lot going on during the tale. Japanese militant terrorists, Navy SEALs, hostages, plenty of military hardware, generals, admirals, a few pretty brutal parts, a daring rescue mission - the workds. I liked the bonding between the Japanese Defense Force commando unit and the ...
