Get Things Done!
This was the first of Don Aslett's books I ever read, and it is the book that made me want to read more. It is an easy to read book with plenty of illustrations and it has such a powerful message. If you follow the advice Aslett presents in this book you will most certainly accomplish more than you ever dreamed possible. There are some things I disagree with. I often wear shirts with button ...

As owner of one of the U.S.'s largest cleaning firms, author Don Aslett has first hand experience with the way that mess and confusion can impede a good day's work. His book shines a light on the chaos, from overflowing wastebaskets to staggering stacks of paper, to (gasp!) the inside of the communal refrigerator. He reveals why out-of-control office clutter is not simply unsightly, but harmful ...

What a Treasure!
This book is my ticket to the orderly and uncluttered life that has been eluding me. It's not only effective, but also well-organized, besides being entertaining to read, because of the way the author presents his material. I have bought an additional copy as a gift (for someone who asked to have it!), and I know she will be happy with it, too.

It is a handy reference tool, to help clean those items we don't think about very often, as well as better ways to do daily cleaning. I adore this book. In out last house I put cream colored carpet in and was always spending $100 to have them cleaned because everything showed. In our new house I chose a deep grey color and I finally had it cleaned after four years bacuase I realized it must be really dirty. It looked perfect and we never see the dirt. Just one example of making my house do the housework. I also have ...

Construction Cleanup : A Guide to an Exciting & Profitable C
I was considering starting a cleaning business and did a lot of research, this book kept coming up as a "needed" book, that I should purchase. I did purchase the book and have learned so many valuable lessons from it. It is well worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone who is going into the "construction cleaning" business.

This Book Changed My Life
This book is perhaps one of the most influential books I have ever read. I come from a long line of pack rats and junk hoarders. I was raised to view things and objects as not whether I needed them, but as whether they were "a good deal". Aslett's book is not about cleaning, it's not even about de-junking your house, it's about changing your mentality about stuff. Not just stuff you can ...

** RE-TITLING OF A PREVIOUS BOOK **
I want people to be aware that this book was previously released as, "Lose 200 Pounds This Weekend: It's Time to DeClutter Your Life." I find that practive a tad deceptive. For more reviews & a better price, see the other book.

Excellent book!
I was so inspired to declutter my house, I couldn't even wait till I had finished reading the whole book, I started right in on some overflowing drawers. I like his writing style; it's very down-to-earth and funny, especially when he mentions some of the things he himself had accumulated before he "saw the light." I laughed out loud several times while reading it. He really gets into the ...

A bible for cleaning
Easy to read, straightforward, and illustrated well. This is a must have for every household. It's also very inspiring. I've used the techniques in the book to really reduce the cleaning time in my home. I've read a lot of Aslett books and they are great. Literature? No. But if you want to get stuff done, keep it clean, and do it quickly - he's the guy to follow.

Wonderful!
Absolutely superb! Quite possibly your best book yet.(The horror stories alone make it well worth the price.) I've long believed that there comes a point where your possessions own you, instead of the other way around. Why do so many people think they'll need things "someday?" Pack-ratting really is a rampant form of obesity. So I'm calling my furniture consignment dealer...today!

A keeper - I leaf through it often!
I appreciate the irony of buying a book on clutter with which to clutter up your bookshelf. But I still love this book and leaf through it often. The thing is, once you've read Clutter's Last Stand and then implemented the helpful suggestions there, it's a life-changing moment. You see things differently than you did before. Kind of like a born-again nonsmoker, you want to dwell on the ...

Great book!
This, and his other book, "How to have a 48-hour day," are great books on time management. Both are very insightful and discuss many practical issues of time management that often are not covered, or not covered as clearly, in other time management books. I LOVE Don Aslett's writings!
