A great book to start with
This book explains everything really well and has some great practice songs in it. My only complaint would be that it's a little too easy - I had taken a little piano before and I could pretty much play everything in the book with some practice. If you are just starting out though, and have never played before, it's a great resource. Highly recomended!

Makes piano lessons fun!
The workbook is a must when teaching from the lesson book. The workbook follows the lesson book Music for Little Mozarts: A Piano Course to Bring Out the Music in Every Young Child (Music for Little Mozarts)and includes coloring and and exercises to reinforce what your child learned in the lesson book. I gave it 4 stars because once you use it, you can't reuse it for another student.

Great supplement for Little Mozarts lessons.
I think that the flashcards were a must because they really helped reinforce what my child was learning during her lessons. They're big, easy-to-read, and very user-friendly if you have no music background. The cards review notes, rhythms, music dynamics, and musical symbols. They're a good, worthwhile purchase.

I got this book by mistake ( didn't notice that it was level 1). I am beginning level 3 already so I find this book quite easy. I can play most of the song by sight the first time.

Overall a decent product by Alfred's
I had just started learning piano at a late age, with no piano nor musical background whatsoever and the Alfred books make it learning almost effortless. This book is harder than the level 1 adult course book I'm at but I enjoy learning piece #1, Love Me Tender.

Wonderful learning tool for the musical mom
I am a mom that sings, but not a pianist. The price of piano lessons prevent us from having our kids take lessons at young ages. I looked at one of the lessons from a local studio and they said they use this series, so I ordered it. I know how to play a little, and this book/cd/notecards, etc... is absolutely perfect for us. I like it so much that I like to play it again. My favourite song in this book is 'Haydn's Symphony'. I like it so much it's my music book ofcourse. I like all the animals best because they learn me music so much. I can't even kiss them because they are in my music book. Mummy might get me the animals for christmas!
