I feel...dirty...
Take heed, this is NOT a book to show your parents... Take eroticism and mix it with horror, and you've got something you just can't put down, but you wonder why the heck you're reading such material...

Super Reader
If someone else has said that this is disappointing, sub-par or not well-received, then, they are right. Absolutely below average. (Average story rating, 2.8) Not sure what the editor was thinking, but having a bunch of writer joke Jerry Cornelius stories in what is ostensibly on the surface suggested to be an Elric collection = very bad idea. Throw in Glogauer, and even worse. Likely to annoy ...

bootlegs
I encourage all those interested in Hendrix to find and listen to as much "rare" recording as possible, despite sometimes terrible sound quality. The official recordings are mostly great, but to develop an appreciation for the direction he was going and the awesome development of his talent into 1970, when he died, you must hear things like "Captain Coconuts" from the vinyl "Crash Landing", a ...

NOT FOR CAINOTOPHOBIACS
Fear of new things...this is an excellent compilation marred by a cliched "Fear of the dark + household prowlers" story that has a great final line but an otherwise dull story. Still, I would recommend this book. I am afraid of skunks, myself.

Awsome compilation
This book had everything I was looking for in a Fantasy novel. It has a story about Jesus being a vampire and Peter and Paul taking their traveling tent show on the road. It has a story about The Zodiac Killer being this girls father and describes in detail at least one of the crimes and the afterlife where he had been keeping his slaves. All in all its a great book and I recommend it to everyone.

An Anthology the Way It Oughta Be Done!!
I've had bad luck in the past with Horror anthologies, so I put off reading Dark Love for a few Years after purchasing it. I should have had more faith in the Editors, because this is a rock-solid book, with not a dud to be found. The book starts off with Stephen King's "Lunch at the Gotham Cafe, where a man and his soon-to-be-ex-wife find themselves confronted with a demented Maitre d'. The ...

Faithful to the Dreaming
It is funny how one can initially misjudge a book. When I first picked this volume up it was because I saw Neil Gaiman and Clive Barker's names on the cover. Then, on first perusal, I saw that Gaiman had not even written the introduction. Moreover, Barker's only contribution was the frontispiece- a drawing of Death. Nor did I immediately recognize the names of any of the contributors to the ...

Great Collection
One sword. The true sword, EXCALIBUR. Forged from magic and courage, it bears the power of heroes and kings. Its nature is unique, but its forms are legion. It can appear... has appeared... will appear, anywhere, at any time, in a thousand hands in a thousand guises. For Excalibur is the force that protects the souls of Good's guardians, and changes the course of destinies... Tales of the ...

Gaiman story is worth the price
The Gaiman story in this collection is brilliant. There are other bright spots as well, particularly the contributions from Diana Paxson and Alan Dean Foster. Good, fun stuff.

A Fantastic Anthology of Short Stories!
I was really impressed with this anthology of morbid short stories themed around tombs and the macabre of death. Forrest J. Ackerman introduced the book to us. It's not for everybody. It's kind for an audience who prefers science fiction, horror, and thriller to melodrama. Some of the material is not for children or for squeamish adults. The Contents Read as Follows: Tomb Swift by Forrest J. ...

Zombies in the Civil War? Incredible combination !!
Being a Civil War buff and zombie lover, I couldn't ask for any better combination. It was one of those books that was literally hard to tear myself away from. It's been awhile since I read it, but from what I recall there wasn't a bad story in the book. Holds your interest from beginning to end. One of those few books that I can honestly say I have every intention of going back and reading again.

Dark carnival stories probe the limits of humanity
It's difficult to easily categorize these dark works of fantasy: they are short stories written by such notables as Ray Bradbury, Michael Bishop, Nina Kiriki Hoffman and others, blending literature and art and all based on the strange kinetic sculpture Crowded After Hours by Lisa Snellings. Dark carnival stories probe the limits of humanity.

Thanks for holding out!
This book combines two things I really love: short stories and science fiction...with an added bonus - libertarian themes! Stephen King once said that if novels are like long romances, then short stories are like a brief kiss. 'Free Space' gives you tongue.

An Elric novel written by Authors who grew up reading Elric
I have read every Elric novel. I own 500 kilos of fantasy paperbacks. This book brought me as much joy, inspiration and satisfaction as any book I have ever read. Elric was the first "evil" hero. Every fantasy writer has taken a peice of elric to produce their characters. Drizt Do'urden is a shadow of Elric. Raistlen is almost an exact copy of Elric. Darth vader's sinister life, dependence on ...
