gorgeous
My five year old got a gift certificate for his birthday and - being rather fond of the penguins - picked out this gift box for himself. My first thought was, "Great! Another penguin." but then when we curled up together to read the story, I was quite delighted with his choice, and so was he. The illustrations are very good, the layout reveals the story very cleverly and, for a wonderful change, ...

Great book! And a musical coming soon!!
This is an adorable and educational book about a girl whose dad is responsible for the very important job of changing the lightbulb at the top of the Empire State Building. I highly recommend it! I also heard that they are turning it into a musical in New York City at the Vital Theatre company in March! Can't wait to hear and see it!

Ice Story: Shakleton's Lost Expedition
The true story with lots of original photographs of Sir Ernest Shakleton's unsuccessful Antarctic Expedition. The hardships they faced were incredible, yet Shackleton was a true commander. He kept his men together in mind and body. Excellent adventure book and recommend it for grades 3 through 11th. Also recommended reading for teachers and parents.

Wow...
Everyone can get swept into being cool and 'fitting in', but Lily was blown over! Her parents are dreadfully boring. The rest of her family is no better, including a 'tapeworm' aunt who doesn't even eat her own wedding cake. But, there is hope (!), for the LeBlancs are somehow related to her boring-as-a-stick relatives. They are enviromentally-aware, vegetarians, and they have AMAZING ...

A bit disappointing
I was (and still am) such a huge fan of the first Lily B. book (On the Brink of Cool) but this book was just rather disappointing. I could tell that the Author, Elizabeth Cody Kimmel, was trying to be funny and have the same charm as the first book, but it just wasn't there. The plot, in my opinion, was rather ordinary, nothing special, and there was no Lily B.-ish humor to help the book out. ...

Katie's Review
I thought this was one of the best books I have ever read. I have re-read it twice and the second time I read it it had taken me only two days. Now, I travel sometimes with my class and whenever we do I bring "In The Stone Circle." It had alot of description. I thought that the events that took place were very well thought out. I liked the part where the two girls, Christen and Miranda were ...
