This is a great book full of beautiful photos. Best of all it guides you to the really interesting places on all the different islands. There are maps, and directions, and under each site stories are told about the site's amazing past. There are interviews with the locals describing their spiritual beliefs regarding the site. stunningly beautiful
This book is so wonderful! The artwork is gorgeous. And it is interesting because it is a true story. With the beautiful writing and stunning artwork, the effect is magical. It's also exciting for boys, because it has some action scenes. I love when my son requests I read it to him. It is an unusual and beautiful book.

This is the kind of book that boys love- lots of gross stuff, and scary! The paintings are wonderful- colorful, and the ghosts look so scary! Grade-school boys will love this book. Also, it's interesting because the tale is an ancient Hawaiian tale. It's a very unusual and beautiful book.

Gorgeous clear, bright photos
We have this book on our coffee table and everyone always comments on how beautiful it is. The photos are amazing- bright and clear, and take you back to vacation days in Hawaii...aaaah. And I've learned a lot about Hawaii from the history and commentary alongside the photos- Hawaiian history is really fascinating.

Nice textures
This book is fun for toddlers because they can hold it in the little arch. And it has some really nice textures to feel. I love the slippery gecko! It's a fun book, and much more unusual than most of the other touch and feel books out there.
