Enrico Caruso - Voices of the Opera Series: Aria Collections with Interpretations
Enrico Caruso

Ricordi, 2003

Enrico Caruso rose from a childhood of poverty in Naples to become the first great tenor and superstar of the recorded era. His fearlessly pure, lyric vocalism and heartfelt acting still come through, even on the scratchy old recordings. This collection of arias and songs associated with the tenor includes an interesting biography, an article about his artistry, and notes on the signature Caruso interpretation of each aria, followed by standard ...

On the Art of Singing3 reviews
Enrico Caruso, Luisa Tetrazzini

Dover Publications, 1975

Fascinating
I liked hearing from Tetrazzini herself how she achieved such a wonderful sound, what her "secrets" were. This book was a very nice change from the usual technical material. I thought the personal information and insights were interesting. I'm even re-reading it now with my highlighter, just to make sure I get every thing I can out of it.

Enrico Caruso: My Father and My Family4 reviews
Enrico, Jr. Caruso, Andrew Farkas

Amadeus Press, 1990

Best book available on the greatest tenor of the century
Enrico Caruso is the greatest tenor of this century. I say "is" because every tenor is still compared to Caruso (not to one of "The Three"); his records, all predating the microphone, still sell 76 years after his death; and there are more books about the life and art of Caruso than any other singer. The original version of this book appeared seven years or so ago and was regarded as one of the ...

Caruso was one of the world's most loved male singers and Tetrazzini was known as an incredible Italian soprano. What a valuable source of knowledge for future musicians.

Caricatures1 review
Enrico Caruso

"La Follia di New York", 1951

great pictures
Caruso was not only the most famous (and best) tenor who ever lived, he also could draw gorgeous caricatures. The book shows them really big in a good collection. Mostly with a funny touch they are also good to be hung on the wall. You'll find Toscanini, American presidents, famous people and - of course - Caruso himself.
