Absolutely enchanting!
My children love this recording and take turns playing "Brer Rabbit" and "Brer Fox." I am personally enthralled by Danny Glover's masterful reading of this story. It is easy to imagine yourself around a fire alongside a slow moving river while you are listening. A resounding well-done to everyone who put this one together!

I purchased the Spanish edition of this book and at first I thought that it was full of errors. I soon realized that the book was adding "g" to many of the words that the French peas spoke in order to give them an accent. I think that it overall is a great book.

The format of this book and the others like them give a young reader a very enjoyable experience. The adult side helps to embellish the story but the children's side lets a new reader be part of the story not just a listener. What a wonderful author! He is so witty and made me felt so comfortable asking all the questions, even though I've been a Christian for a long time.
