A Force To Be Reckoned With (Savage Dragon, Vol. 2)2 reviews
Erik Larson

Image Comics, 2001

Why aren't you reading this comic?
Savage Dragon is the best funnybook on the market. If you're tired of all comic book characters being clones of the Authority, try this title. It's reccomended for fans of Top Ten, The Hulk, cheese fries, and that chewing gum you can only get with baseball cards.

Erik Larson

Image Comics, 2001

Graphic SF Reader
Possessed is the fourth Savage Dragon trade paperback from Erik Larsen. When Savage Dragon fights Overlord and others, things take a nasty turn. What do you do when a good man goes bad, and the good man is the best, strongest, and most powerful of almost anybody, and certainly of the good guys?

Lethal Passage: The Story of a Gun5 reviews
Erik Larson

Vintage, 1995

Ironic Passage
When I read Erik Larson, I know I'm in for a treat, and this was no exception. This book not only tells the story of how a bullied boy takes his anger out using a gun at school, but the story of the inadequicies of gun legislation and the winding road the NRA has taken interpreting the 2nd Amendment. The one irony I found that Larson points out is that it's harder to get a driver's license than ...

Thunderstruck140 reviews
Erik Larson

Doubleday, 2007

Pow! Another home run by Larson!
Did you see my review of Erik Larson's "Devil in the White City"? Every superlative used there goes double for "Thunderstruck". There are some shortcomings, of course. For example, Larson spends a great deal of time fleshing-in his characters, but little time fleshing-in the history of telegragh technology( the conventional telegraph was developed after Hans Christian Oerstead discovered electrical ...

Revenge (Savage Dragon, Vol. 5)3 reviews
Erik Larson

Image Comics, 2001

Better than a cold beer on a hot Christmas morning!
Savage Dragon is better than any comic you're reading, guaranteed, unless you're somehow reading to copies of Dragon at once. Anyway, in this TPB, Dragon smashes some stuff, rescues lovely ladies and hands some bad guys their ... Guarantee void in Kentucky.

The Naked Consumer: How Our Private Lives Become Public Commodities2 reviews
Erik Larson

Henry Holt & Co, 1992

I am ashamed to be a Marketing person
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Let me just say that this book is the greatest. It even made me ashamed to be a marketing person! Enough said!

Savage Dragon, Vol. 17 reviews
Erik Larsen

Image Comics, 2001

One of the most brilliant comic book heroes of the 1990's.
Well, first of all, it should be noted that the only similarity that Dragon has with the Hulk is green skin. And it should also be noted that the Hulk's visual was initially ripped-off from Frankenstein's. So, Dragon is pretty much original. The powers, personality, and others stuff is totally original. And this book is pretty darned good. It features a lone warrior cop waking up an amnesiac ...

The Devil in the White City740 reviews
Erik Larson

Doubleday, 2003

Two interesting stories intertwine
Erik Larson took on quite a task with this work! He attempts to intertwine the story of the Chicago's creation of the 1893 Columbian Exposition with the emergence of H.H. Holmes's sinister self. The process of creating a city within a city, and the story of one of America's most accomplished serial killers could be two separate books! But Larson infuses them successfully. The interesting ...

Isaac's Storm: A Man, a Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane in History250 reviews
Erik Larson

Random House Audio, 1999

MAKING OF A CLASSIC
There is no doubt Larson has written the definitive book on this subject for some time to come. As reviews on this site attest, there are few who will not find this a great read. What makes it so good? Larson's book makes a great story, is historical, and scientific. First and foremost it's a great story, well written. The author describes the storm as 'an awakening of molecules' in the ...

Graphic SF Reader
Sometimes winning changes everything. When the Savage Dragon manages to finally defeat an arch enemy once and for all he finds out things are bad. Returning home, he finds out he has undergone a time shift and nothing is like what he left behind, and it could just be all his fault. LIve, deaths, relationships, or whatever. Project Management8 reviews
Clifford F. Gray, Erik W. Larson

McGraw-Hill Education, 2002

Excellent!
It seems like this textbook has gotten bad phrase and for no good reason. This book is a college level textbook and is perfect in conjuction with appropriate teaching. A person can not simply book pick up this book, skim through a few chapters and expect to understand the management process without being taught by a professor. My advice, go to college and learn the process properly.

Project Management: The Managerial Process1 review
Clifford F. Gray, Erik W. Larson

Mcgraw-Hill, 2006

Good introductory book, but impractical
This wordy book is more heavy on management than on project management because the business professors are understandably not trained in project-specific disciplines. Hence, there is inadequate coverage of how projects are actually managed, particularly costing and key contractual issues. Even on their own terrain, the business relations are mostly asserted without solid research backing (e.g. ...

Image Comics3 reviews
Todd McFarlane, Erik Larsen, ...

Image Comics, 2002

PRODUCT REVIEW!
I think that the book delivered exactly what I was anticipating. The four stories were correct and went back to the beginning so that a new reader would know what has happened in each of the four stories. When a new reader picks up a new issue of one of these stories he or she, will know the origins. Buy It!
