Blown Away
This is quite simply the best study aid I've ever encountered for any class at law school. It takes what can be an extremely dry topic (Fed Courts and/or Fed Jurisdiction) and actually makes it an enjoyable read! My casebook did a very poor job of making a comprehensive storyline out of the federal jurisdiction issues. It was just a mish mash of "notes" on a bunch of cases with a few ...

An invaluable resource for Federal Courts
All of the thousands of law school study guides tout themselves as a means of breaking down the often complex material for students. Unfortunately, however, few are able to accomplish that goal, as the study guides themselves are often almost as large as the casebooks and do little to demystify law school courses. Chemerinsky's text is a refreshing change, as his Federal Jurisdiction hornbook ...
A Year at the Supreme Court (Constitutional Conflicts)
Jr. Stuart Taylor
Duke University Press
, 2004
The United States Supreme Court?s 2002?03 term confounded Court watchers. The same Rehnquist Court that many had seen as solidly conservative and unduly activist?the Court that helped decide the 2000 presidential election and struck down thirty-one federal statutes since 1995?issued a set of surprising, watershed rulings. In a term filled with important and unpredictable decisions, it upheld affirmative action, invalidated a same-sex sodomy ...

Best Law Book Around
This book is the best law book that I have ever read. The cases are interesting and well abbreviated. The best part though - the notes before and after the cases. Chemerinsky does a great job of explaining what is going on. Instead of giving you ambiguous answers and rhetorical questions, this book actually explains the law. I will buy the next edition when it comes out, even though I ...

reducing the role of the legislature
The author advocates the court system's writing law instead of being the arbiter. The author appears to believe that courts can make all decisions by broadly referencing the Constitution. In the extreme, the authority of elected legislatures would be dramatically diminished. I found his point of view frightening in his willingness to so dramatically tamper with the balance of powers of our system

Best Book In Law School
Constitutional Law is by far the best book that I've purchased in law school. The author writes clearly and organizes a vast amount of material in a concise and readable fashion. I used this book for four classes, Con Law I and II, First Amendment, and Administrative law, and I wish I could find another treatise this useful for other classes.

Overall Good summary
This guy has an annoying voice but gives a good summary of the law. If you don't attend the Barbri lecture try to listen to these before the MPRE!

Just Put It Online
This very small volume is already ridiculously expensive, and even worse, almost every single word herein is available for free elsewhere. Of course, big leather-bound casebooks and their periodic supplements are a law school tradition going way back, well before free or inexpensive (for students) online services like LexisNexis and WestLaw started offering case documents. Now the expensive ...
