This is a great book with many good images. Even though I have the Harrison's 17e (the big one) this is still very useful as it is much more wieldy.

biblical text on heart
it is amazing that such an authoritative text can actually be written. but there it is!. a masterpiece, which is so encompasing that words fail. braunwald has a tradition and every new edition is a towering giant over the previous.seeing is beleiving, thus i strongly recommend this text to any one wishing to perfect himself in any aspect of cardiology.

Great Atlas
I love this Atlas for congenital heart disease. It is clear cut with wonderful illustrations and photographs. It covers the basic heart lesions, doesn't go into extreme detail, but good overall atlas and reference.

This is an excellent comprehensive medical text covering practically every aspect of Internal Medicine. A must for the Primary Care Physician. Personally, I would get the two volume set as the single thick back has a tendancy to break away from the binding.

I just found out about this book today and spent just a few minutes leafing through it and that was enought for me to decide that it would be a great atlas to have on hand for general reference on all the major organ systems and their disease manisfestations. It seems like it would be a great (broad/generalist) review for the boards. I hope to acquire this book soon...!

I got this book during my nuclear cardiology fellowhip and I found it to be an excellent resource to explain some harder to understand concepts. As with other books in the series it works as a concise text and a great review book.

No matter what your professors/classmates/nay-sayers say about how thick and heavy, convoluted or expensive this book is, it doesn't matter because YOU NEED THIS BOOK if you are a medical student, period. In fact, you'll save money in the long run b/c this book will pre-empt your need for many other books (not all, so be careful).

I have used Harrisons since the eighties. I am a Clinical Psychologist dealing with patients who often have multiple medical problems. Harrison's is a complete solution to getting up to the date medical information, not only the book and CD but also the Website. Harrison's still a classic, but more manageable
Having Harrison's in a two volume set makes using it much more convenient. My wife, the physician has rheumatoid arthritis and trying to lug the single volume edition off the shelf for reference, was painful. The two volume set contains evrything the single does, even up-dated, but is lighter to use.
