A particularly stylish desk diary
The Victoria & Albert museum in London puts out two engagement diaries every year. There is a desk diary and a smaller purse sized diary. The desk diary is printed on beautiful quality stock. Each two page spread covers one week, with a good-sized blank space for each day. There are 2008 and 2009 calendars up front, an integrated bookmark and a couple of blank pages at the end of the diary ...

Victoria and Albert Museum Pocket Diary 2008: The Golden Age of Couture 1947-1957 (Pocket Diary)1 review
Frances Lincoln

Frances Lincoln, 2007

Nice little 2008 haute-couture diary to carry around
This is the pocket version of the 2008 V&A diary I've reviewed elsewhere; both of them are spinoffs from the book _The Golden Age of Couture_, which is in turn derived from the V&A's 2007-08 exhibit celebrating 1947-1957 haute couture. The pictures are a nice selection of color & B&W (many of them are the same as the desk version, but there are also some different pictures). As I said in my ...

Castles from the Air (From the Air)3 reviews
Frances Lincoln Publishers

Frances Lincoln, 2006

Excellent Castles Book
A gorgeous collection of European castles from the air, with just a bit of identification on each rather than a description. Long introduction on castles and history. Included several castle sites that were new to me. Beautifully photographed, occasionally from a non-traditional vantage. (Example: Segovia is normally shown looking up at the north side, here it's shown as an aerial view ...

Uddhava Gita2 reviews
Frances Lincoln

Frances Lincoln, 2006

important translation
This book is a very readable translation by the female swami ambikanda saraswati of a very important hindu text. Very valuable for scholars of religion but definitely also for the sincere seeker. A text that is a mixture of bahkti (devotion) and more advaita (non-dualism) inspired passages. Definitely a must for everyone interested in indian religion.

This is my 6th year to use one of the wonderful hardcover diaries from Frances Lincoln in England and I love them. They make a great combination appointment book/ journal/ scrapbook! I keep all of my appointments, mileage, ticket stubs, etc. in it. There's plenty of room to make notes each day of the week and the printed images are fantastic.

Frances Lincoln

Simon & Schuster Books, 1996

A Beautiful Illustrated & Uplifting Little Book!
This collection of ancient and modern prayers is sweetly illustrated and will be cherished in our family for years to come. The prayers are beautiful and the antique paintings are fun to look at. I felt as though I were 'praying through an art musuem' while I read this tiny book. Very sweetly put together!
