Steam in the Heart: Life and Times Along the Morehead and North Fork Rails
Fred Brown
Wind Publications
, 2008
During the first half of the 20th century railroads were the life-blood of the country. They carried passengers and commerce to every corner of the nation. In Kentucky, plans were made as early as 1891 for a railroad to link Morgan County's coal fields with the C&O Railroad at Morehead. In 1906 the Morehead & North Fork Railway linked with the C&O in Morehead and the town soon replaced Farmers as the commercial and industrial center of the ...

More than cooking--a delicious slice of Southern culture!
"The Best of Georgia's Farms" is much more than the best cookbook I've ever seen -- it's a fun and insightful tour of the very best that Georgia has to offer. Colorful sidebars illustrate Georgia's rise from a sleepy, rural Southern state to the boomtown that has attracted Olympians and everymen alike. Succinctly written biographies give a fresh look at famous Georgians such as former ...

By far the most delightful surprise from Marvel in years.
Hercules is the original Western hero, and I've always referred to him as the original superhero; his mythic exploits have entertained generations of young people (usually in heavily-bowdlerized form, removing such issues as his pederasty, adultery, and overt bloodymindedness). Since he's been in the public domain for millenia, Both DC and Marvel Comics have versions of him; DC's is a minor ...

, 2002
The complexity of the structure and function of many biotechnology-derived products necessitates a wide range of analytical procedures to adequately characterize the product. Physicochemical techniques provide little, if any, information regarding the potency of biologicals. Therefore, the development and analysis of biological assays that measure the ability of a material to elicit a function are essential to successful product development. ...

Comprehensive!
An excellent reference for anyone planning activities along or near the Chattahoochee. Only shortcoming is general lack of river section and lake maps. The extensive narrative descriptions of noteworthy sites and interesting areas are great and the provided directions help, but some more maps would be very beneficial.
