Goneboy: A Review
The shocking articles appearing in the news about random killings by a wacko gunman hit home several years ago when my son informed me a friend of his had been killed by a fellow student. I could no longer distance myself from such tragedy -- if Galen Gibson could be killed so senselessly, so could my son. How would I react under such circumstances? Thankfully, Gregory Gibson, Galen's father, ...

The inside story about gender change.
This book is a must for all those interested in gender change operations. The personal story is classic for the trials and tribulations of individuals suffering with this problem. It is a story of personal victory told in a sensitive and warm style that all can relate to. I personally met Rhonda on a plane and saw her in transition. She is an attractive new person with charm and wit! I loved ...

Great mixture of history, adventure and tragedy.
I highly recommend this book to all who like to read about toll ships and see adventures. Painstakingly, masterfully written, book embraces detailed description of whaling ships and their role in making many Nantuckers rich, as well as many aspects of human life during the "golden" era of whaling for oil industry. But not only this. We have many historical details about early Pacific navigations ...

Gone Boy -- a riveting read
Gone Boy, is Gregory Gibson's exploration of the facts and emotions surrounding the murder of his young son. As many other reviewers have remarked, it is beautifully written, thoughtful, and fascinating. I expected the book to be a litany of complaints, wrongs, conspiracies and so-forth, and it was remarkably devoid of such histrionics. It was subtle and intelligent. Gibson's lack of histrionics ...

Amazing book
I loved this book. I read it straight through like it was a detective novel. I could not wait to see what would happen next. I loved the story and the strange characters, especially Bob. But most of all, I loved Gibson's wry humor and beautiful writing. This is a compelling and wonderful book.

9 Hours 42 Minutes on Compact Disk. The heinous mutiny aboard the whaleship Globe in 1824 is one of the bloodiest and most notorious incidents in maritime history. Amazingly, author Gregory Gibson discovered a previously unknown manuscript containing a first-hand account of the incident as told through the eyes of a sailor sent to rescue the battered survivors. From this account, Gibson has built a fast-paced narrative of the events.

Approximately 850f hospitals now have ethics committees. But this statistic says little about the efficiency and importance of these committees in their institutions. Frequently, ethics committees exist more in name than in practice, and are left without the guidance and help of their institution. Health Care Ethics Committees provides a plethora of advice, including possible projects and activities, suggestions for making meetings more ...
