Curious George for father &son
I purchased this wonderful book for our 4 year old grandsons birthday. His dad's favorite toy as a small child was his stuffed Curious George which he still has at age 42. It gives us great pleasure seeing him read Curious George books to his son now many years later. This collection is great and brings back many memories.

A fun story, perfect for reading at birthday parties!
The Curious George series of books is a wonderful addition to any youngster's library as the stories are brief, beautifully illustrated in vibrant colors, and the plot is simple and easy for young ones to understand. The Stars: A New Way to See Them61 reviews
H. A. Rey

Houghton Mifflin, 1976

None Better, Never Has Been
When I was a kid, my father had a clever response to my "Why?" He threw books at me. Once I asked about the stars, and this book was what I got. And what a book it was! It taught me the mechanics of the nights sky, about the Moon and planets, what the constellations looked like and how to find them in the sky... Everything I needed to go outside and start finding things. The book didn't stop ...

Curious George and the Dumptruck5 reviews

Houghton Mifflin, 1999

A family favorite
My 3 year old loves Curious George books and all kinds of heavy equipment so combining the two means it's one of his favorite books, and just like George he is always curious especially about George and why he is doing what he is doing. In our house both my 3 year old and 17 month old would sooner read about Curious George than watch tv.

Life's a Beach ...George!!
This book and Curious George himself takes me back to a gentler time. A time when I was young and a time when my son was young. He and I LOVE to read all about George's silly mishaps daily. This book was an automatic favorite because we live in Rhode Island and live at the beach in the summer. So he would always take this book and his george doll down in his bag. These stories are filled ...

Curious George Goes to an Ice Cream Shop (Curious George, No 23)5 reviews
H. A. Rey

Houghton Mifflin, 1989

Never boring
As usual the mischievous monkey, George, gets himself into lots of trouble at his visit to an ice cream shop. Also, as usual, everything ends well... This is a perfect bed-time reading for your baby. My children always ask for new stories about the monkey George. This one is only one of many others that we all know in our family. Although we can practically recite George's adventures one ...

Great for young and the not-so young!
My husband has a love for the constellations so I decided to purchase this book for him for Father's day; he just loves it and so do the girls. We went camping over the summer and this was a great book to use when we were star gazing; the illustrations are just wonderful. This is a great book for anyone that wants to learn about the constellations.

Curious George Takes a Train (Curious George)4 reviews

Houghton Mifflin, 2002

A Cute Story & Illustrations for Children Ages 3 - 6
Curious George, Margret & H. A. Rey's loveable monkey (Technically he's a Chimpanzee but we won't quibble too much . . . .) has received a series of new stories but in the same structure and style of the original. In these stories, George is a good monkey who tries to be helpful but allows his curiosity to cause problems. In the end however, George saves the day and all is forgiven. In this ...

Curious George Visits the Library (Curious George)6 reviews
H.A. and Margret Rey

Houghton Mifflin, 2003

Fun with a book-loving monkey
"Curious George Visits the Library" is, as the title page notes, "Illustrated in the Style of H.A. Rey" by Martha Weston. In this tale, George--"a good little monkey and always very curious"--visits the public library with his friend, the man in the yellow hat. Chaos ensues as George frolics through the library, but it all ends happily. Curious George is an enduring cultural icon, and this book ...

Curious George A Must Buy
I bought this set for my 4 year old boy. Little did I know that this would also be a mommy sanity saver gift as well. I gave this to my little boy with a cd player to enjoy. On the first day he opened it, I had forgotten that he was in the house beacause he was so quiet, for a whole hour. And well my little boy is like Curious George, always into something. So for him to be quiet and out of ...

Curious George and the Firefighters (Curious George)2 reviews
Anna Grossnickle Hines, H.A. and Margret Rey

Houghton Mifflin, 2004

Classic George!
I think we'll have to buy some more copies of this story, my son makes us read it at least 4 - 5 times a week to him. He loves firefighters (and George of course) so this is a perfect fit. I've noticed some of the newer stories "inspired" by Margaret and H.A. Rey -- this is one of their originals / classics. Timeless and precious are words that come to mind when thinking about the actual ...

Curious George in the Snow4 reviews

My Whole Family Loves This Book
This story is delightful. We bought it because we were taking our 2.5 yr old along on a ski trip and wanted him to have a silly little story that related to the mountain and skiing (even though he's not on skis yet). Well, it is just that... and more. He's learned a lot, developed an interest in skiing (maybe next year) and always gets a good laugh out of this book! It's also fun that George ...
