The Art of Jack Davis1 review
Hank Harrison

Stabur, 1987

Jack Davis is Great! This book is Bad!!!!
What a piece of trash this book is! Let me start by saying Stabur and Hank Harrison put out one of the worst looking books I have ever seen in my life. I was laughing as I flipped through this book, the artwork is barely legible. Mr. Davis creates very detailed drawings with alot happening not only in the foreground but in the background as well, but you won't see that in this book, because you ...

The Dead3 reviews
Hank Harrison

Archives Press, 1986

Flying eyes are classics.
This book goes beneath everything you know about Mother Mcrees uptown jug champions, the Warlocks, the New Riders, the Pranksters, and anything else that the Dead spawned, or spawned the Dead. Cassady, Kesey, Mountain Girl...it's got the whole bunch. I highly recommend this book to any DeadHead, just to test your knowledge, or to a casual Dead listener, to inform them, it's a great read.

Kurt Cobain, Beyond Nirvana: The Legacy of Kurt Cobain7 reviews
Hank Harrison

Media Associates, 1995

Kurt was murdered!
Kurt was beautiful. He was probably one of the most gifted men to come into this world, and he had to leave when he had just arrived. It is hard to find beauty now, and when you finally stumble upon it and then lose it, it is hard. I won't let Kurt go without a fight. If you think Kurt killed himself, read this book. It disects the situation as close to perfectly as I can imagine. It ...
