I Got a D in Salami #2 (Hank Zipzer)6 reviews
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2003

But he gets an A in creativity
I remember as a kid, the power the Fonz had on American kids. When his character got a library card, applications for library cards increased nationally. Now that Henry Winkler has turned author, I know he will be impacting more kids in a positive way. Hank Zipper is a kid with learning disabilities that aren't diagnosed yet. But he doesn't let that stop him. This book moves quickly and is ...

The Curtain Went Up, My Pants Fell Down #11 (Hank Zipzer)3 reviews
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2007

Accelerated Reader Excellence
We live in Texas and the elementary schools have the "Accelerated Reading Program" and these books by Henry Winkler qualify for points in the program. Finding books for my granddaughter to read and keep her interested has been difficult but she loves this series.

Summer School! What Genius Thought That Up? #8 (Hank Zipzer)6 reviews
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2005

My 9 year old loves it
My son loves the serie. And this is quite surprising, given that he comes from years of reading challenges. The fact that Hank -the main character- has learning challenges, but lives a rather exciting life in fourth grade, with his friends and family, has probably a lot to do with it. I personally like to sarcastic, realistic and hopeful undertone of the book, which is much like my son's psyche.

The Night I Flunked My Field Trip #5 (Hank Zipzer)5 reviews
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2004

Great book series for 4th grade boys
These books are hilariously funny for 4th grade boys. I'm sure girls can read them too but girls have a dozen or so book series to chose from so this one's for the little guys. I have a difficult time getting my 9 year old to read on his own but with these book, he reads every night and begs for the next book. According to my son, get the first book and then any of the following books can be ...

Hank Zipzer Collection (Hank Zipzer)15 reviews
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2005

Awesome Books!
This WHOLE series of books is a BIG hit with kid's between 9 and 13 years of age. It has EVERYTHING a child of that age loves to talk about. The stories are entertaining and very topical for kid's in that age group. I was able to meet Henry Winkler at a book signing and he is a wonderful individual. He suffers from Dislexia and incorporates his difficulties with Dislexia during his childhood ...

This series rocks!
This series is soooo cool for both boys and girls ages 3rd-???. I teach 3rd grade and these are my kids' favorite read alouds. I have an 11 year old daughter and this is the first series she has been "into". They are funny, with lots of elementary school humor and words they find hilarious. Fun stuff!

Niagara Falls, Or Does It? #1 (Hank Zipzer)23 reviews
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2003

An Excellent Series--Even Better on Audiotape!
This series is wonderful! While we enjoyed reading each of the books in this series, EVEN BETTER was listening to Henry Winkler read them aloud on the audio version. My two sons (ages 8 and 11) and I (age 40) were laughing out loud as we listened. Like many other reviewers, we recognized ourselves in Hank. One of the best ones is _I Got a D in Salami_, the third one.

Starting to read Henry Winker
My daughter bought this book for her daughter at the school book fare. It was a start to the world of HANK ZIPZER for my granddaughter. We have bought several since then to keep our girl interested in reading and these books are listed on the accelerated reading program.

Holy Enchilada! (Hank Zipzer, 6)8 reviews
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2004

Another Gem from Henry!
I am an elementary teacher who just wrapped up third grade. I read the Hank Zipzer series aloud to my class this year and they all agreed this was their favorite. At one point, we were laughing so loud that a colleage stuck her head in the classroom to make sure we were okay. All of these books kept the kids interested, made them laugh, and got many of them reading them independently after I ...

The Sitcom Handbook6 reviews
Phil Ramuno, Henry Winkler, ...

Back Stage Books, 2004

Perky Patty Parkerson is pleased with this purchase!
This is a must have for actors and writers interested in making a career in sitcoms. Mary Lou Belli and Phil Ramuno thoroughly explain the specifics of each day on a sitcom set. They illustrate the different types of jokes and define what makes each of them funny. And, they pepper the book with fun, informative anecdotes. I will read this book again and again! Mostly, because I can never ...

The Secret Life of a Ping-Pong Wizard #9 : Hank Zipzer The World's Greatest Underachiever (Hank Zipzer)1 review
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2005

Henry Winkler does it again
Another excellent addition to the Hank Zipzer collection. Any child will be sure to relate to Hank's excitement of learning and succeeding at a new sport, as well as his apprehensiveness of telling his friends for fear of their reaction. Your child will be cheering for Hank all the way as you read of his finally telling his friends of his new talent, his getting to see that bully Nick McKelty put ...

This one might have been the best yet!
I ordered this book for my 5th grader. He has read the whole series and LOVES Hank Zipzer, eagerly awaiting each new book coming out. This one was not available at our local bookseller (only through a special order), so I ordered it on Amazon with some other things to qualify for the minumum for free shipping. Yippee! The Day of the Iguana #3 (Hank Zipzer)14 reviews
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2003

A great series for boys!
The way I see it, any book that can keep a 10 year old boy away from his video games, gets 5 stars and then some. "Day of the Iguana" and the other eight books will do for boys what "The Babysitters Club" did for girls. I've been waiting a long time for something boys can relate to other than "Yu Gi Oh" comic books and "Captain Underpants." Henry Winkler has done that with Hank Zipzer and his ...

My Dog's a Scaredy-Cat #10: A Halloween Tail (Hank Zipzer)1 review
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2006

Hank Zipzer is GREAT!!!
The entire series of Hank Zipzer books is GREAT!!! My son can't get enough of them. They are a wonderful read, especially for any child who suffers from a learning challenge. They are easy to relate to and help to build self-esteem for children who have learning challenges and help others to understand how the world works for them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Zippety Zinger (Hank Zipzer, 4)2 reviews
Henry Winkler, Lin Oliver

Grosset & Dunlap, 2003

First book my dyslexic 11-year old son has read by himself
My son and I have read the first 3 books in the Hank Zipzer series together. We enjoyed each one, especially the underlying theme of hope for children who learn differently. This fourth book, was the turning point where my son actually is reading the book alone. If I could contact Mr. Winkler I would like to thank him for being such a great role model for kids who are bright and creative but ...
