Down to Earth Sociology: Introductory Readings, Fourteenth Edition 2 reviews James M. Henslin
Free Press, 2007
Very interesting book No matter if you're studying sociology or just have an interest in how people think, this book will intrigue you.
I bought it for class and expected a boring textbook. Instead I am finding it well worth reading and I especially like how it relates to how everyday people think, not just people in studying sociology.

Allyn & Bacon, 2006
Sociology review I would like everyone to know that for a class that calls for the latest edition, which is usually hundreds of dollars, they can easily get an A with an older edition. I have proved it with this book. Even though the teacher said I would have a hard time I found everything where it was supposed to be maybe a page or two off but it was all there. This is a great book even if you are not taking a ...

Down to Earth Sociology Introductory Readings 5 reviews James M. Henslin
Free Press, 1988
Excellent book for intro students This is an excellent book to introduce students into the real world of Sociology. Rather than focusing on theorists and their theories, Down to Earth Sociology focuses on real-life examples and situations in which the reader can relate. The articles are user-friendly, and fun to read. A recommendation for anyone interested in the world of Sociology.
