Holy Murder: Polygamy's Blood

The truth often shocks, yet must be told
Spencer gives an accurately chilling account of the mindset and the twisted culture of contemporary Mormon polygamy. Too often the topic is sugar coated so the outsider can swallow all that occurs with in the secret community of oppression and abuse. The characters and the backdrop are very close to the truth. Spenceer spells out in detail the real lives of so many trapped in polygamous ...

Heresy Hunters
This is an excellent book that exposes many of the lies out there today bout certain Word-Faith teachers. While not excusing some of the bad things a few of them have done, Spencer approaches the subject with an honest and open heart. He shows how they've been misrepresented by people such as Hank Hanegraaf and John MacArthur who aren't concerned with Christian unity, but instead are concerned ...

The Complete Guide to Special Interest Videos is Fantastic!
This is the most complete special interest video guide I've ever seen. This guide has it all. It not only gives you the basic information you'd want to see, but it also gives a concise summary of the content of the video itself. The layout of the guide is great, since it is segmented into hundreds of special interest areas that the reader will enjoy browsing through. It has concise summaries ...
Bleeding Hearts and Propaganda: The Fall of Reason in the Church

Are we REASONABLE in the church?
In this followup to his first book, Heresy Hunters, Mr. Spencer deals with some of the "liberal" evangelicalism that is in the church and exposes it for what it really is - compromise. Of particular interest to me was how he documents the vicious attack of CRI on his life, ministry, and family after exposing the truth about Hanegraaf in Heresy Hunters. It will make those who hail Hanegraaf ...

Very respectful book and very consistent with other ex-Mormon testimonies
So much has already been said about this fine book that I'll keep this short. I read this book when it first came out. At the time I thought it was very good. It was also unique in that it was the first ex-Mormon testimony that I knew of that had been published to a broad, mass-market audience. I was especially impressed with the author's respectful yet honest tone. At the time most ex-Mormon ...

The Stories we find ourselves in.
I have a love hate thing going on with the emergent church. I love the critique of modernity and willow creek, but I sometimes wonder what positve contribution emergent people have brought to the dialogue. It is easier to tear down than destroy. But this is not a negative book. Not even a little. The people in this book are all very cultural engaged. And are all very diverse, and they focus on ...

A Neccessary Evil
I found this book to be quite useful as I started studying for my APICS exam. As far as reference textbooks go, this is nicely laid out and easy to use. It is a neccessary evil because to make sense of the materials, you have to have a guide. This dictionary seems to be a good guide for getting through the material.

As the Church expands increasingly world-wide, every Latter-day Saint should know something about each of the major religions of the world. From an LDS perspective, no better text exists than this book for understanding Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, and the other great religious traditions of the world. Written by four BYU professors with extensive religious experience in Asia, the Middle East, and throughout the Western world, ...

Excellent book for college drafting course.
This is an excellent college level text.I particularly like the detailed "real world" drafting problems for the students. Also it has a very good apppendix. It is comprehensive enough that we use it in three different courses here at Vincennes University.
