Fast paced and suspenseful
Excellent read. Rollins gives just the right amount of build up before unleashing the hidden things that were below the Earth. The only problem I have with Rollins is that he seems to always paint his military characters as stone cold figures with very little emotion. Overall, a great book and it was very suspenseful and kept you wanting more.

awesome book
this was my first james rollins novel, and it was hard to put it down. it would make a good script for a hollywood sci-fi movie-- with all the actions and somewhat cheesy humors. thumbs up from me. i will definitely seek out more of this author's other books.

Sigma vs the Guild - The world as the prize
I believe I've covered this subject before, but I feel that it is appropriate when it comes to the latest James Rollins thriller. There are people who believe that the world will not end with a bang - as in global war, but with a whimper - a plague unlike anything humanity has ever seen. A plague that will make the Black Plague which decimated Europe so many centuries ago look like the common ...

Ice please!
This is definately one of my favourite novels by James! Strange creatures, submarines, firefights on land in the air and the sea, who could ask for more? Continuous danger and excitement just the way I like it! Throw in a government conspiracy and you have yet again an amazing story! I could not put it down and finished it in 2 days!

Environmental Laws in Focus
This text is ideal for someone who is seeking a comprehensive review of many major environmental issues. The book provides information on the U.S.'s pertinent environmental Acts and Ammendments. This selection is great for coursework, the professional, academics or just for personal enrichment. Stimson gives just enough information to keep the reader interested and informed. Bravo!

Book Review: The Judas Strain by James Rollin
The Judas Strain by James Rollins Review by SpeekNDaTruuf There's a virus threatening to eradicate most, if not all, of mankind, and only one woman can stop it; however, capturing and securing this woman is no easy task. There are historians and scientists, alike, attempting to apprehend the possible "cure" for the virus. Action and adventure abound on both sides! On the one side, you have ...

Solid Rollins Work
I did not like it quite as much as Black Order because it was a little harder to believe, but it was still an excellent read. Full of great action, unique environments, and some solid characters, it is a very good read. It is good to read to get some good background info on Painter Crowe and Sigma Force.

Read This First, in Sigma Series
Map of Bones is a fast paced thrill ride. I loved it. The book is a little too long, but all in all, I couldn't get enough. This is the second book in the Sigma series. The first book, Sandstorm, is not as good, and most of the central characters are introduced in Map of Bones and not in the first book.

The best of the religious conspiracy genre
An amazing story, including the Knights Templar, the Italian Secret Service, the Vatican, the Holy Grail, the Holy Bloodline, cryptography, Mossad agents, the FBI's DNA database, all weaved together in a fast-paced, believable storyline. Weber's research into religious history and artifacts provides the detail that makes the story believable. His characters, and there are a lot of them, are ...

Great Thrill Ride
James Rollins had me hanging on every word with the Judas Strain. There were three very different, very exciting stories that tied into one by the end of the book. All the characters were likable and smart. It's filled with movie blockbuster action and pacing but none of it distracts you from the story. I highly recommend you give The Judas Strain a try. Just READ IT!
Everyone has their own opinions, and this is mine. Excavation is one of the most unique, interesting, and thrilling books I've ever read. And I've read thousands of books through my life. Does that age me? lol James Rollins has the gift of making an unrealistic plot seem totally real. A very hard thing to do with a book in this category. This is definitely a page turner in my opinion. ...

Fun-loving adventurue
