The Botox Diaries 58 reviews Janice Kaplan, Lynn Schnurnberger
Random House Audio, 2004
Hilarious! These two authors write absolutely hysterically funny material for us "older women"!!!! Once started, it is with great difficulty to put it down. The characters are ALL entertaining with usually one outstanding. But the humor is just too, too much! Enjoy.

Mine Are Spectacular! (Unabridged) 44 reviews Schnurnberger, Janice, Lynn Kaplan

A hilarious boost for us baby boomers!!! I love this book! It is written with such wit in a light-hearted "fun" manner...yet it addresses the pitfalls women over 40 encounter as well. Makes us feel "normal". I didn't want to put it down.... and I ordered 10 copies to give to my girlfriends!

HOMBRES CON LOS QUE NO ME CASE 1 review Kaplan, Janice
EDICIONES B, 2007

The Whole Truth 4 reviews Janice Kaplan
Berkley, 1997
Absolutelt riveting! I couldn't lay it down! I'm very picky about what I read. I want a suspense book to come equipped with track shoes so that you can't turn the pages fast enough to satisfy your need to know what happens next. The Whole Truth is that book. I won't loan my copy to friends because I might not get it back. It's one of very few books I've wanted to read more than once. Excellent!

The Men I Didn't Marry [UNABRIDGED] (Audio CD) 1 review Janice Kaplan & Lynn Schnurnberger
Books on Tape, 2006
Mixed feelings, mixed review I listened to the unabridged audio book on CD narrated by Susan Denaker.
The narrator has a pleasant voice but didn't add much oomph to the story. The characters often sounded alike vocally. But the narration was an easy listen.
The cover art gave me the expectation that this book would be an amusing girlsfriends adventure rather than the mostly-solo journey of self discovery it was. So ...

The Men I Didn't Marry: A Novel 18 reviews Janice Kaplan, Lynn Schnurnberger
Ballantine Books, 2007
being very entertaining - don't expect to be realistic This is completely improbable story. Everything in this book just couldn't happen, never. Don't even try to compare it to reality.
So just relax and enjoy it as a fairy tale, a fable. It is sad and funny in the same time and the jokes and tears are evenly spread out through the book. Even if heroine fighting through some difficulties everything is light and airy.
(Another thing, I have first ...

Looks to Die for 15 reviews Janice Kaplan
Tantor Media, 2007
Total fun - very LA This could be described as social satire with a murderous twist. I laughed all the way through this book. The wife-mystery solver is so upper class Southern California, at least in stereotype. I'm looking forward to more from Kaplan, I can't believe some readers thought it was dreadful. You must have a sense of humor to enjoy this.

Looks to Die For: A Lacy Fields Mystery 1 review Janice Kaplan
Touchstone, 2008
Almost really good In some ways, this book is a perfect comic cozy. The writing is fluid and fluent, and allowed me to become part of Lacy's world immediately. Unfortunately, as the story moved forward I became more and more irritated by its few flaws, namely:
1. The elephant in the room. Over and over again, just when one would expect Lacy to do or say a particular thing because EVERYONE would, she didn't. ...
