Great Maps, but don't rely on just on this book
The book was good as it did detail many restaurants and beaches. In addition, it provided a detailed map which is especially useful if you are planning on hiring a car. However, I would not recommend just using this book. There were some eatery's that were recommended in this book that were regarded by the "maui revealed book" as not as good. Easy going vacation
I found this book made everything easy to find. Our daughter's wedding was our excuse to visit Oahu for the first time. Frommers made it easy to play tourist and wind our way through the streets of Honolulu without a hitch. Paid for itself many times over for its restaurant ratings alone. I personally give it high high marks for accuracy.

While searching for information on traveling with a wheelchair user I came across this book with on line excerpts that contained just what I was looking for. bad driving info but good restaurant info
If you are looking for good eating recomendations, this is the book for you. But if you are interested in driving around Maui, especially the Hana Highway, find another book. The driving directions they give -- site-seeing points, where to stop, how to find roads off the highway and especially how to find hiking trails are not good at all. Great book, great island
We are planning our first trip to Hawaii and have been amazed on the amount of information that is out there. This book summarizes all of the hawaiian islands and helped us plan our 3 week trip. It reviews not only hotels, but restaurants, activities and hot spots to see. All for less than $20! I feel that it is a must for any traveler to the island.
