Essentials of Educational Psychology (with MyEducationLab) (2nd Edition) (MyEducationLab Series)1 review
Jeanne E. Ormrod

Prentice Hall, 2008

Easy to read, informative, insightful
The text is well-organized and contains several charts and boxes that review main points and provide examples of ways to apply the material to classroom teaching. Each chapter concludes with sample Praxis exam questions that ask the reader to apply material from the chapter. I especially like Ormrod's conversational prose and anecdotes - she makes it very readable.

Prentice Hall, 2006

child development and education book review
I was happy with the book. It arrived quickly and in great condition. My only issue is that it did not have the 3 CD's that come with new edition. I emailed customer service with my complaint and they sent me another book, but still without the CD's. After some investigation they figured out that the book they are advertising does not come with the CD's. I was dissappointed :(

Human Learning (5th Edition)4 reviews
Jeanne E. Ormrod

Prentice Hall, 2007

Human Learning
This is an amazingly well written text. Ms Ormrod actually practices what she preaches, so the book is organised as an exemplar of how to help students learn. I bought the book as an optional text for a Masters in Education, then I sat up one night to check it out. It became compulsive reading, very hard to put down. It gives a broad overview of Educational Psychology thinking over a wide ...
