THE BONE COLLECTOR 1 review JEFFERY DEAVER
HODDER STOUGHTON LTD, 1997
NO BONE TO PICK WITH THE BONE COLLECTOR... This is an especially suspenseful thriller made more so by the personal angst of the main character, Lincoln Rhyme. A quadriplegic, forensic ex-detective for the New York City Police Department, Rhyme is brought out of retirement by the police department to assist them in the apprehension of an apparently psychopathic killer who is loose on the streets of New York.
The forays into bits of ...

The Stone Monkey (A Lincoln Rhyme Novel) 4 reviews Jeffery Deaver
Simon & Schuster, 2002
As Expected - It's Fantastic! Jeffery Deaver never ceases to amaze me with his imagination in creating believable yet intriguing plots. STONE MONKEY is no different.
The Ghost is a smuggler with few morals. He has a ship packed full of Chinese immigrants that he blows up less than a mile off of the US coast. Seems he wanted their cash but didn't really want to fulfill his obligations. A few manage to escape only to be ...

Blue Lightning. 1 review Liza Cody, Jeffery Deaver, ...
Unionsverlag, 2000
Soulful, good reading I received this book as a present & couldn't put it down -- soulful, fascinating stories, all loosely wrapped around music, ranging from jazz clubs to John Lennon & Johnny Cash meeting to an old man dropping dead while dancing ecstatically, claiming "I was the best dancer! I was the best dancer!" I love the bios in the back with each writer explaining their tastes in music & what they listen ...

The Blue Nowhere : A Novel 1 review Jeff Deaver, Jeffery Deaver
Simon & Schuster, 2001
One of his early bests Absolutely loved this book from Jeff Deaver. He has an ability to lure readers into his words, then make segues which are not obvious. This was one of his earlier novels, before the Lincoln Rhyme series began. While I those are my favorites, I recommend that readers who like the Rhyme novels also read this one, if nothing else for a different view of what Jeff writes.

A Century of Great Suspense Stories (Unabridged) 2 reviews Jeffery Deaver
audible.com
A suspenseful anthology When I first saw the title of this book all I could think of was oh no, another saves the century for the ages with one more literary anthology. The Ancient Library at Alexandria could never have contained more papyrus than we have currently available some short story theme involving the century. Though I have fully enjoyed each of the previous collections leisurely reading them over a couple ...

The Coffin Dancer: A Novel (Lincoln Rhyme Novels) 1 review Jeffery Deaver
Simon & Schuster Audio, 2006
Good book We have always enjoyed Jeffery Deaver and I think we have read all the Lincoln Rhyme novels. I wish they would come out even faster. I would recommend this book to all Deaver fans and to anyone looking for a new mystery writer to follow.

Twisted 33 reviews Jeffery Deaver
Hodder & Stoughton Ltd, 2004
Exciting even as a textbook at school As someone who have been teaching English at college in Japan for some time, I was always seeking for a good "authentic" material, which is at the same time instructive and entertaining. This book turned to nicely meet both criteria in the classroom with vibrant colloquial expressions and intriguing plot lines. Unlike other textbook materials accompanied by ubiquitous problems and exercises, ...

Stimulating group of short stories I am a Jeffery Deaver fan and have read all of his novels. I looked forward to his short stories in this collection and was not diasppointed. He is a master storyteller with interesting twists. He also has a chapter where he shares some of his techniques with the reader. I am reminded of another short story master named O'Henry, but Deaver succeeds in making his endings truly twisted in ways ...

Transgressions: Death's Betrayal: Two Novellas from Transgressions 10 reviews Jeffery Deaver, Sharyn McCrumb
Macmillan Audio, 2005
A smorgasbord of great reads! After the success of his novel BLACKBOARD JUNGLE, Evan Hunter (Ed McBain) turned to what were then referred to as "novelettes," his subject being the 87th Precinct detectives of Isola (think New York). As time passed, the 87th Precinct novelettes grew to full-length novels. Fifty years later, McBain persuaded nine other mystery, thriller, and horror writers to submit what are now called ...

Nothing to hate here except York Great character development--I cringed experiencing the world through York's mentality. This is SO well written...dialogue really drove the story. I know it's a cliche, but I couldn't put it down. I'll say no more. Just read it.

The Bone Collector 289 reviews Jeffery Deaver
Coronet Books, 2004
The One That Started It All Warning: Once you read this novel, you will be hooked. I devoured every other Lincoln Rhyme novel after reading the Bone Collector. The only problem I have discovered is that Mr. Deaver cannot write fast enough.
To anyone who enjoys a deliciously complicated character base along with amazing plot twists, you have found yourself a winner. I find myself wishing I could meet the people in this ...

A Maiden's Grave 85 reviews Jeffery Deaver
Signet, 2001
My first Jeffery Deaver book My mom loaned me this book (she reads all of his books) and I loved it! It was so intriguing and suspenseful. I loved the characters and even the characters flaws that caused them to want to be `top dog' in the rescue/investigation. Immediately after I read it I was ready to read it again, but my mom wanted it back. LOL
