Awesome resource
I use this book both with my kids at home and in my classroom. I love that the recipes allow children to be so creative. Generic suggestions allow the kids to learn art techniques, then apply them their way. My kids produce projects that they are proud of because they are truly their own.

Great Intro to Physics!
My nine year old son loves this book! It has some great projects to do (using easy-to-find materials) while also introducing famous scientists and scientific principles like the laws of motion. We were following the The Well-Trained Mind: A Guide to Classical Education at Home, Revised and Updated Edition and found this book to be much better than the books it recommended for Physics.

Outstanding resource
My kids loved these fun learning activities. Enough to keep them busy through early childhood. Nothing canned here. . . all creative and discovery-focused. Makes biology and even physics accessable to very young children. You can't go wrong with this outstanding guide.

I first got this book out of the library, but loved it so much I had to have my own copy. My kids gave this to me for Christmas. We homeschool and this is a fun "hands on" way to learn science.

Tired of projects supposedly for kids, but really require adult help all the way? Then this book is for your family. Young kids can truly do these projects on their own. The text is simple. Terrific ideas to help kids learn to read!
This book has many neat ideas like making a special word box with sight words with personal meaning, making personalized books, menus, learning to read nursery rhymes, etc. I think it is a good complement to any phonics instruction. Yes, preschoolers can read!
I couldn't believe how easily my four year old started to read when I presented the activities in the book. The phonemic awareness (sound awareness) activities were amazing. They really provided the link to phonics as the author explains.

This is an incredible book. The experiments are easy, fun, and cool to do. You and your child will be amazed at how easy these tricks and experiments really are to do. If you're a teacher, you'll love this book for your your primary classroom. My students have effectively completed these experiments and were simply amazed at how cool they turned out! This is a must have book. Really!!!
