Kim R. Holston

McFarland & Company, 2004

Marching
This book was awesome. It really does work. My band was very bad because we had so many rookies this year, but with the instruction of this book we won our Regional class. Thank you so much to the authors. Next year we will be going to the top as Grand National Champs!

45 Acres of Fun & Tears1 review
Jim Morrison

Goose Lane Editions, 1989

OKay
Yeah, this book is about farming and a farmers life and how he wanted to spend the rest of his years. No its not by the singer Jim Morrison of the Doors, and the guy is not insane, the writer of this book. Good read if you are passionate about farm life, if not, then pretty boring read. I wouldnt buy this book twice, if you know what I mean.

Wilderness: The Lost Writings of Jim Morrison42 reviews
Jim Morrison

Random House Trade, 1988

I AM IN LOVE WITH JIM!
Jim Morrison is my favorite artist, idol, poet, male, and anything else. He is such an amazing person and his art is truly appreciated. Not only was he hot and sexy-he can actally write! Enclosed are his lyrics and deep emotions-a great read with a bunch of friends by a fire at night. You will love all these poems and the photos of the amazing beast himself-Jim Morrison himself revealed.

The Lords and the New Creatures39 reviews
Jim Morrison

Fireside, 1971

A political magnum opus of lexicon splendor:
Morrison was indeed the William Blake of his day. His poems come across like the proverbial Quodlibet; promulgating a cognitive catharsis with visceral overtones that in many ways has an affect on the soul. Like many other poets such as Langston Hughes, Morrison goes for the jugular, and holds back nothing. His commentaries on sex, politics, and social injustice are on par with today's civil ...

STRANGE DAYS. MY LIFE WITH AND WITHOUT JIM MORRISON.2 reviews
Patricia (Jim Morrison) Kennealy

A Dutton Book, 1992

An Honest Look
For various reasons, Jim Morrison's reputation has grown to god-like celebrity (insanity) since his death. Finally, here is a book that treats him like the man he was. Written by his wife, Patricia Kennealy Morrison, the book is brutally honest and poignant in dealing with their relationship. She does not spare herself or her readers the love, pain, joy, excitement, anger, confusion or peace ...

The American Night: The Writings of Jim Morrison33 reviews
Jim Morrison

Vintage, 1991

Revolutionary
These poems have been underated since they're release. If one considers the fact that Jim Morrison was protesting the Vietnam War while his father was an Admiral in the United States Navy; I think the reader will come to understand the value of Morrison's work. He's always been a poet first.

Jim Morrison's an American Prayer3 reviews
Jim Morrison

Zeppelin Publishing Company, 1983

Words you know.
It is a short book, but the words are as powerful as you know them to be. His words don't define an era. They define a creed. A creed so strong that his albums sell more now than when they were released. His desparity his yurn for people to see the truth as he saw it. I can find myself. I can find myself in the choas of this world through his work. I like this book and his others. Great reading. ...

Sign of the Times4 reviews
Jim Morrison

PublishAmerica, 2005

THIS IS NOT BY THE ORIGINAL JIM MORRISON!
This book is listed with the poetry of Jim Morrison the singer/songwriter/poet and icon of the seventies band leader Jim Morrison. He is not the original and it should be noted that the writer gave himself a review here. I gave it five stars because I enjoyed the poetry and the website.

Biochemistry: Molecules, Cells, and the Body1 review
Jocelyn Dow, Gordon Lindsay, ...

Addison-Wesley Pub (Sd), 1995

Oh dear...
My fellow medical students, Having been recommended this tomb by my fellow peers, I - like many others - opened Biochemistry: Molecules, Cells and the Body with great anticipation and excitement. I was sure that dispensing of my superflous second kidney to fund this £40 purchase would be a most invaluable and worthy investment. However, I must say with utmost solemnity that it was not to ...

The PhotoshopWorld Dream Team Book, Volume 1 (VOICES)2 reviews
Scott Kelby, Kevin Ames, ...

New Riders Press, 2004

Doesn't quite get there.
I was very disappointed. As a run of the mill photoshop book it's fine - but "dream team" it's not. For me, the images lack the "wow" factor, and it doesn't inspire me to pick it up for a second time. Instead I'd recommend Scott Kelby's "Classic Effects" which is a lot more fun and interesting.

The American Night (Morrison, Jim, Lost Writings of Jim Morrison, V. 2.)
Jim Morrison

Villard, 1990

THE AMERICAN NIGHT presents Morrison's previously unpublished work in its truest form. WIth their nightmarish images, bold associative leaps, and volcanic power of emotion, these works are the unmistakable artifacts of a great, wild voice and heart.
