Hot Commodities: How Anyone Can Invest Profitably in the World's Best Market89 reviews
Jim Rogers

Random House Trade Paperbacks, 2007

He's Spot-On Again
When Jim Rogers speaks, I listen; when he writes something, I read it. If you go back years and years and check out what Rogers anticipated and predicted, he's been consistently accurate. His perceptions, opinions, and predictions in the 1980s and 90s, were spot-on. With "Hot Commodities" he does it again in many areas: geopolitics, equities, bonds, current and future international political ...

Let's Talk About It: Adoption8 reviews
Fred Rogers, 2008

Wonderful book for adoptive families!
We purchased this book along with several other adoption-themed books for children. This one by far best explains adoption in a way our children can understand. As a family that has both biological and adopted children, it was important to us to find a book that presents ALL children- adopted or not- as special. Mr. Rogers does a fantastic job, as always, putting it into terms that all ...

Islam Rising, Book 13 reviews
Jim Murk

21stcenturypress, 2006

A Captivating Read
A thorough background of the Muslim faith and its influence on current and future events. Dr. Murk does an excellent job of keeping the subject biblical and non-sensationalized. A must-read for those concerned about terrorism and the spread of Islam.

Adventure Capitalist: The Ultimate Road Trip89 reviews
Jim Rogers

Random House Trade Paperbacks, 2004

Great lessons from a true explorer--the Richard Feynman of finance
This book offers you an amazing learning experience from someone with a greater scope of knowledge and curiosity (could he possibly just sit still?) than just about anyone else I know. After finishing this book--I feel that I've absorbed the collective wisdom of 100's of people living over many centuries. Rogers sense of adventure and curiosity compares with that of Richard Feynman--and one ...

Fred Rogers

Putnam Juvenile, 2000

Let's talk about it: Extraordinary friends
I ordered this book for my sister, who's 2 year old son has cerebral palsy. My idea was that she could place it in her local day care center that my nephew attends so that the other kids could have some of their questions answered about kids with special needs. This book really fit the bill..it is clear and concise, and seemed to address lots of questions that I have heard other children ...

Investment Biker: Around the World with Jim Rogers56 reviews
Jim Rogers

Random House Trade Paperbacks, 2003

Great travel yarn as the Iron Curtain was coming down
I really enjoyed this book. He made some really great predictions, and was off the mark on others. The dollar being devalued is happening now, but there were no wars in Central Europe, except Yugoslavia. Very insightful travel book, ala Iberia from James Michener though not as academic. Easy, exciting read.

My Double-Edged Life (Tomo #2)1 review
Jim Krueger

Zondervan, 2007

Good Christian Graphic Novel for Tweens
I ordered TOMO #2 first, because I always start on the second books in the series for some reason. The storyline was moderately easy to pick up, and the art was fun to look at. For anyone who's thinking of ordering this series for their eleven-year-old or younger, go right ahead. They'll absolutely love it. However, for those a little older, it might seem a little drab. Now, I can't ...

The Secret Moose1 review
Jean Rogers

William Morrow & Co, 1985

This is a GREAT book
I liked this book because it is fun and adventurous. I would recommend this book to people who like exciting things to read. My mom liked this book because I learned about Alaska. The moose is the state mammal of Alaska. There is a surprise ending. You'll have to read to find out!
