Swine Not?: A Novel18 reviews
Jimmy Buffett

Little, Brown and Company, 2008

Good read, not your typical Jimmy book
I decided to read this book for the obvious reason - it is written my Jimmy Buffett, of whom which I am a loyal fan. It was no where near as long as his past books, and the chapters were very short. The story was easy to follow and almost reminded me of a young adults book (not that that is a bad thing, it was just an easy read, 256 pages). I am an animal lover, so I understand how the family in ...

Good selection of some of JB's best songs. If you enjoy his music and play the guitar, you'll enjoy this book.

Harcourt Children's Books, 1991

TROUBLE DOLLS PROVES NOT TROUBLING TO READ!
TROUBLE DOLLS by JIMMY BUFFETT and SAVANNAH JANE BUFFETT is a really great story! It has many elements within it that are similar to the life of JIMMY BUFFETT, which PARROTHEADS will be sure to notice. The imagination runs wild in reading TROUBLE DOLLS! Mental pictures of the Florida Keys and longing for them are results of reading this book. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, ...

Tales from Margaritaville51 reviews
Jimmy Buffett

Harvest Books, 2002

Tales from Margaritaville
I loved this book! The first third is made up of a series of short stories that are linked together by characters and locations. They are also tied to Where is Joe Merchant?, a novel by Buffett that I highly recommend. The second third are stories that are probably somewhere between fiction and fact. The main character is clearly Buffett but the events don't add up or are presented as dream ...

Swine Not?: A Novel1 review
Jimmy Buffett

Little, Brown and Company, 2008

For adults or kids?
I've been a Parrothead since Son of a Son of a Sailor came out in the late 70s and I've read all Buffett's adult books. This one was a bit unusual in that it did not involve a beach or the water. It is typical Buffett style with short chapters that fit together well but can be picked up and put down many times without losing the flow. Rumpy, Barley, Maple and Syrup (and for that matter Ellie ...

The Jolly Mon
The quality of the printing, the beautiful 'semi-true story', the bright and well done colorful pictures and the bonus CD of Jimmy Buffett's song, aka The Jolly Mon, make this an excellent purchase for anyone with young children in their lives. It can lead to laughter, clapping, dancing and giggles!

Aa Pirate Looks at 50
This book was great, and I really needed it. Age never bothered me, but when I turned 50 it hit me like a ton of bricks. A friend gave me this book, and before I was 1/3 of the way through it, I realized 50 was OK. Buffet is a world class story teller, and whether he's writing fiction or non-fiction, his books are all must reads.

Songs You Know by Heart1 review

Alfred Publishing Company, 2000

Great gift for a aspiring guitarist.
I'm no musician, but I bought this and the CD containing these songs for my brother, who has been learning to play many old standards from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. He thought it was a great Christmas gift; he's really enjoying it!

Meet Me in Margaritaville: The Ultimate Collection3 reviews

Warner Bros. Publications, 2003

Margaritaville Revisited
This is a fine book. Many of the somgs can be found in other places, but not all. The transcription is done well. If you are a Parrot Head and have a guitar, keyboard, or piano, you need this book. Well worth the money

Jimmy Buffett: License to Chill2 reviews

Sheet Music
I ordered this to read, I thought. But it is a song book with sheet music for playing songs from it. I don't play any instruments so I had to pass in on to my daughter's companion. I haven't heard if is playing anything from it.

Alfred Publishing Company, 2002

Good book, just riped off by seller.
The seller sold it to me as a book for reading. I was going to take it to Cancun, What I got was a song book. Not a book for reading. All in all it was okay to read, however, Not a book to take on vacation.
