First Number Flashcards (Usborne first numbers)1 review
Jo Litchfield, F. Brooks

Usborne Publishing Ltd, 2002

First Numbers
Great educational tool. It makes a great stocking stuffer. Cards wipe clean, durable and easy to carry around. I prefer to give educational gifts that they will benefit from. It's non-toxic and used over and over again. Worth the money.

Very cute picture book about animals!
If you want to teach your child about animals and their babies, then this picture book is for you. It just shows the animals and their names underneath, but is a very good book for a child just about to enter toddler age.

Felicity Brooks

Usborne Publishing Ltd, 2004

a must-have for the toddler set
our daughter, now 22 months, loves this book. she has brought it to the doctor three times and asks for it all the time. it has been really helpful to show her daisy performing the same tasks and tests on her patients that elliott is to have done to her. when she begins to get upset at the doc, we pull out the book and look at it together and try to find objects in the office that we see in ...

First ABC (Usborne Look and Say Board Books)1 review
Jo Litchfield

Usborne Books, 2007

Great introduction to early literacy skills.
This sturdy, brightly illustrated, alphabet book grabs a very young child's attention, while holding older children's attention if you look beyond the obvious. For example, the "c" page says "car," but if you examine the page, there are far more new vocabulary words to introduce a toddler to, such as, city, cow, construction, cone, cat, carrier, and more if you get creative. Older pre-school ...

Farm (Chunky Board Books)2 reviews
Jo Litchfield

Usborne Books, 2003

A really nice, easy vocabulary builder for young kids
I just bought this for my 14 month old yesterday and already we're accomplished 'what does a cow say - moo' and what does a sheep say - baa baa.' Unlike many of the other vocabulary books for babies, this one only introduces a few words and pictures at a time. The format is very baby friendly. It's a thick board book where each page has its own tab making it easy for the babies to turn the ...

Usborne Books, 2007

fun & educational
My almost-2 year old loves this book. She compares the items on the pages to the real ones in the house. The illustrations are so detailed that there are lots of words to talk about. It's been her favorite for about 6 months and no signs of getting boring, yet.

First 1-2-3 (Usborne Look and Say)1 review
Jo Litchfield

Usborne Books, 2006

Great book in so many ways!
Both my boys love this book -- it is advanced enough for the 3 year old to find all the different things on the pages for that number (for example on the 4 page the main item is tractors but in addition to being 4 of those you can also find and count 4 scarecrows, 4 birds, 4 bunnies, 4 hats) and simple enough for my one year old to enjoy the wonderful illustrations and point to objects and say ...

Fantastic farm book for toddlers

having to buy a second copy..... first one wore out
I am having to buy a second copy of this book. My 2 bilingual toddlers adore the book and have worn it out. The clay figures capture the attention of my children. The book has actually helped my husband brush up on some of the French words he has forgotten over the years. This book is a must for French students of all ages. We love it!
