The Living Dead 4 reviews Stephen King, Joe Hill, ...
Night Shade Books, 2008
Zombie-tastic! Yes, some of the stories that are in the book have been published before in other compilations, the editor even states this in the beginning, however, 'The Living Dead' is an absolute must-have for anyone who is a fan of zombies. You can not go wrong here.
I would have paid this price if only for Dan Simmons short: 'This Years Class Picture'. I cried...Is that even possible in a zombie short? ...

Locke & Key 1 review Joe Hill, Gabriel Rodriguez
IDW Publishing, 2008
Don't Go Through That Door! I'm harder to scare these days than when I was a kid and horror movies were still black and white and filled with trademark Hollywood monsters. Currently, I've been through a plethora of Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, and ghost movies and their spawn. It takes a lot to scare me these days.
Then Hollywood introduced me to FRIDAY THE 13TH, HALLOWEEN, and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. George C. ...

CIO Best Practices: Enabling Strategic Value with Information Technology (Wiley and SAS Business Series) 7 reviews Joe Stenzel, Gary Cokins, ...
Wiley, 2007
Read This Book ...It Is Excellent! As someone who has been a CIO four times, served as an interim CIO too many time to count, wrote "CIO Wisdom" and will be coming out with "CIO Perspectives", I would like to fully endorse "CIO Best Practices". Somewhere in the book it states "all CIOs live in a competitive world and excellent customer relationship management has become a competitive advantage" This book accomplished ...

20th Century Ghosts 43 reviews Joe Hill
Harper Paperbacks, 2008
Haunted Characters, Haunting Stories... So the cat's out of the bag now that Joe Hill is one of Stephen King's sons. Well, no such thing as nepotism here, because this is an absolutely beautiful book--definitely on my list of favorites.
Hill wears his influences and inspirations on his sleeve. "You Will Hear the Locust Sing" is like Kafka's The Metamorphosis set during a 1950's giant bug movie. "Abraham's Boys" is his take on the ...

Watch Out for Clever Women! / ¡Cuidado con las mujeres astutas! 1 review Joe Hayes
Cinco Puntos Press, 1996
a multiple use book This is a wonderful book with stories that are good for the whole family. In my work as an interpreter, I have shared it with a family in a hospital and families struggling with English. Often the only books available are translations from the English to Spanish that faithfully copy Anglo culture. This book is full of stories from the Mexican-American people themselves, full of wry humor and ...

Surviving 8 reviews Joe Hill
PublishAmerica, 2004
NOT THE SAME JOE HILL, GIVE THIS GUY A BREAK! If you are looking for the Joe Hill who wrote Heart Shaped Box, this is NOT HIM. I don't understand why these people are even reviewing this guy AS THEY CLEARLY ALREADY KNOW HE'S NOT THE SAME JOE HILL. It's not fair to give a review based on associating him with another author of the same name. Therefore, I am giving him a positive review in order to 1) cancel out the bad reviews given by ...

20th Century Ghosts CD 3 reviews Joe Hill
HarperAudio, 2007
Joe Hill's 20th Century Ghosts is Brilliant Joe Hill is brilliant, I can't say it any other way. The stories in 20th Century Ghosts are fresh and intelligent. Mr. Hill develops characters that are 3 dimensional and which the reader cares deeply about. I was hypnotized by these stories from the beginning to the end. When I finished the last story, I was deeply depressed.
I am an English teacher and I read the story Pop Art, (a tale of ...

El traje del muerto (Heart-Shaped Box) Joe Hill
Suma de letras, 2007
Aging, self-absorbed, death-metal rock star Judas Coyne was a collector. He collects the bizarre, the uncanny, and the grotesque. Many of these objects were gifts from the black-clad fans that made his metal band a legend and made him rich. But not all... When his personal assistant told him there was a ghost for sale on the Internet, Jude knew he had to have it for his private collection, didn t think twice. He should have. Jude has spent a ...

She's also dead and waiting in the Rosebud Theater for Alec Sheldon on an afternoon in 1945 . . . Arthur Roth is a lonely kid with big ideas and a gift for attracting abuse. It isn't easy to make friends when you're the only inflatable boy in town . . . Francis is unhappy. Francis was human once, but that was then. Now he's ...

Jason Salavon: Brainstem Still Life 1 review
SoFA Gallery & Earl Lu Gallery, 2004
Good intro to Salavon This is a good introduction to the work of Jason Salavon, with a lot of illustrations of his work. The essays are short, but well written.
Salavon's work involves many creative means of using software to manipulate different kinds of data (photographs, movie frames, shoe sale statistics, etc.) to produce visually attractive and thought-provoking works of art.
