The Tragedy of Great Power Politics38 reviews
John J. Mearsheimer

W. W. Norton & Company, 2003

Realist theory for the modern world
John Mearshieimer presents an excellent theory in the form of offensive realism that stands up to close scrutiny in his book the Tragedy of Great Power Politics. By clearly laying out his definitions of what state goals are and how he measures power he makes a compelling case for regional hegemony and the stopping power of water. By utilizing several case studies to prove his theory the points ...

Liddell Hart and the Weight of History (Cornell Studies in Security Affairs)1 review
John J. Mearsheimer

Cornell University Press, 1989

Liddell Hart's Falsifications
Admittedly standing on the shoulders of Brian Bond, John Mearsheimer has written a superb account of the falsifications of Basil Liddell Hart and how he manipulated his own record as an "expert" military commentator to cover up that he was one of those responsible for the debacle in France in 1940. The Israel lobby and U.S. foreign policy.: An article from: Middle East Policy4 reviews
John J. Mearsheimer, Stephen M. Walt

Thomson Gale, 2006

scholarly, honest analysis, Americans need to read this article
Wow, this article has finally brought out in the open many facets of the US-Israeli relationship that have been taboo to discuss. Kudos to the authors who are both well established scholars in their fields! Previous reviewer (Jill Maltin) has an agenda beware. Her comment "There isn't much left to say about this infamous article" is outrageous and untrue.

Farrar Straus Giroux, 2007

This is a must read for anyone interested in politics!
Wow! Very impressive! If Mearsheimer and Walt's analysis doesn't convince you of the power of the Israel lobby, one can only conclude that you are either playing without a full deck or you are somehow benefiting from the Lobby's power and want knowledge of the Lobby suppressed.
