I couldn't put it down
I had chills after reading the first three pages. The action is incredible. I was on pins and needles, like it was all happening for the first time right in front of me. Plaster also conveyed his love for his friends through these pages. There were several places that I cried just for feeling the sacrifice of these incredible, selfless warriors. I love this book.

Outstanding
This exceptional story of US commandos and their allies the Montagnards, called the Yards, who were fiercely enemies of the North Vietnamese communists, is written by one of a three tours veterans in the SOG. John Plaster is particularly good in the way he reveals the magnificent acts of heroism, of chivalry, of gallantry, of comradeship these commandos lived. These true elite fighters who ...

Extremely detailed
This book is the finest book I own on precision shooting. And I own quite a few. Maj. Plaster is a master at precision shooting and has given us the science of it in this book. This book scientifically teaches you how to put one bullet into a target at extreme ranges. It also teaches you about stalking, building hides, range estimation, counter sniping, mantracking, target priorities, camo in ...

A definitive work
John L. Plaster's -The History of Sniping and Sharpshooting- could have been written only by an author who is passionate about the subject and has spent years studying and collecting data. Among firearms-related books, only Elmer Keith's -Sixguns- reaches this level of quality. It is comprehensive in scope while it gives all the detail that makes history so interesting. Its vignettes of people, ...
