The Challenge: Hamdan v. Rumsfeld and the Fight over Presidential Power2 reviews
Jonathan Mahler

Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2008

American Justice
Mr. Mahler has researched a griping courtroom drama in the tradition of "A Few Good Men" where the murder charges have been replaced by a constitutional crisis. Does terrorists have any rights under the Constitution or can they be have forever without a trial? The book could have used some tighter editing, but otherwise is quite readable and clear as to the legal issues and maneuverings. ...

The Bronx is Burning: 1977, Baseball, Politics, and the Battle for the Soul of a City4 reviews
Jonathan Mahler

Picador, 2007

A slice of NYC life
A must read for anyone who grew up in the City. This was a low-point for NYC with race driven politics, a pair of losing ball teams, blackouts, riots and a brush with bankruptcy. Its kind of hard to remember now, but New York in 1977 was a city on the verge of total and utter collapse. We're talking bankruptcy, massive civil unrest, serial ...

Jonathan Mahler

DK Melcher Media, 2004

Right from the horse's mouth
I just started reading this book, and if you're a Lexus fanatic, you'll love it. This isn't some 3rd party writing this, but from people directly involved w/ Lexus/Toyota. Denny Clements is one of the authors. Excellent stories (so far), and pics (beautiful!)
