Excellent historical & genealogical resource
It took the author some fifteen years to compile this reference work, and he would no doubt shudder at "mere genealogists" making use of it, but go ahead and do it anyway. Excellent for sorting out the "minor" Germanic houses.

Excellent book!
Dr. Zophy's textbook over Europe's Renaissance and Reformation is beyond excellent. It is a reader friendly text. Furthermore, it presents fact after fact with clear prose. This new edition has an excellent color portfolio. This is a must read for everyone, and a perfect fit for Western Civ. classes or Ren/Ref classes. This is one of my favorite books!

I had the pleasure of being in Dr. Zophy's Renaissance History Graduate Seminar during the time that he was writing this book. This gave me the opportunity to see the book in its prepublished state.
