Never Knit Your Man a Sweater (Unless You've Got the Ring)8 reviews
Judith Durant

Storey Publishing, LLC, 2006

Never mind the gimmick
Yes, the sweater myth is kind of cloying, but since it is used as a device to take a knitter through more advanced shapes and techniques, I was able to quickly get over that. Very little space is actually devoted to the myth anyway. The book starts out with garter stitch coasters and works the reader up to an Aran cardigan, introducing a new technique with each project. Most every point on ...

Memory Makers Scrapbook Collection1 review
Michele Gerbrandt, Judith Durant

Tim's Printing, 2000

My opinion
This is a very nice collection of scrapbooking ideas. The book has a binding that allows it to lay flat, with large color pictures on 12 x 12 pages, step by step instructions. Ideas for all skill levels, lots of sources for those not living in a metro area. They are not selling any products so give you generic information you can use with your current papers, tools etc.

The New! Beader's Companion (Companion series, The)25 reviews

I also own the same series for knitting and have referred to that for years when I needed a review. I believe that even a ...

101 Designer One-Skein Wonders: A world of possibilities inspired by just one skein21 reviews
Judith Durant

Storey Publishing, LLC, 2007

Trying new yarns -- a great book!
I have both One Skein Wonders books, love both of them for small, elegant projects (this one is a bit more sophisticated) that make wonderful gifts and give us maniac crafters something to do when more challenging knitting or crochet projects seem a little too much for the moment. It's also a terrific way to test a new yarn for its drape and feel -- oh yes -- and a great way to splurge on a ...

Great, great, great ideas!
I ordered this book and was thrilled when it arrived. So many wonderful ideas. It's a must for any knitter with even a small stash! It will be used over and over. Small projects are perfect for in-between the large ones and this book offers lots! Many gift ideas collected into one book.
