Que Pasa Por Alla Abajo?/What's Going on Down There1 review
Karen Gravelle

Turtleback Books Distributed by Demco Media, 2003

Where Are My Birth Parents: A Guide For Teenage Adoptees2 reviews
Karen Gravelle

Topeka Bindery, 1995

Not just for teenage adoptees!
Though this book is aimed at teenage adoptees, older adopted persons, birth parents and adoptive parents, not to mention "official helpers" too, will gain insight into what it is like to be cut off from one's own roots. It is easy to read and puts many of the issues around the normalacy of the right to know into perspective, especially for the non-adopted who all too often have no frame of ...

What's Going on Down There: Answers to Questions Boys Find Hard to Ask44 reviews
Karen Gravelle, Nick Castro, ...

Walker & Company, 1998

Just what I needed!
My son went through puberty early (10), and was too embarrassed to talk about anything. I gave him the book. He read it (he hid it, so I have no idea when he would sneak a peak!), and then when I would bring up things, he already knew about them, or would finally ask questions. It actually went along quite well with his school "family planning" program they have in the fifth grade. And I'm ...

The Period Book, Updated Edition: Everything You Don't Want to Ask (But Need to Know)14 reviews
Karen Gravelle

Walker Books for Young Readers, 2006

Wonderful Book
I gave this book to my 10 year old. She took one look at the title, and said "thank you Mommy, you really know what a girl needs". She read through the book within two days. It's very straightforward reading, and explains the changes occuring in the female body and what menses is all about. A great recommend for any 10 year old.

The Driving Book: Everything New Drivers Need to Know but Don't Know to Ask2 reviews
Karen Gravelle

Walker Books for Young Readers, 2005

Good Starter Book
The "The Driving Book: Everything New Drivers Need to Know but Don't Know to Ask" book was one of just a few choice reference sources for my safe driving CD "Mind the Road - Mind the Road: Waking Hypnosis for a Conscious Commute. The advice and recommendations from this book were an inspiration for the suggestions my audio CD gives to drivers as they start their drive to have a safe and focused ...

The Period Book46 reviews
Karen Gravelle, Jennifer Gravelle

Piatkus Books, 1997

Great!
I bought this when my daughter was 12. We read it together and then she kept it as a review for future reference. She continued to look back at it as she had questions over the next few years. It was a great book and I would recommend it to anyone with a daughter nearing puberty. It was age appropriate and gains a stamp of approval from a conservative mom.

Five Ways to Know about You1 review
Karen Gravelle

Walker Books for Young Readers, 2002

A Great Guide for All Ages
Five Ways to Know About You is clearly written for the younger crowd, but I found this to be a great book for adults as well. The book offers information on five different types of horoscope reading. Everything contained in the book is clear and easy to understand. If you are a novice in the field or just looking to investigate what the stars, the numbers, and your handwriting say about you or ...

Animal Talk
Karen Gravelle, Ann O. Squire

Topeka Bindery, 2000

"The methods animals use to communicate with each other and with us are explored in depth in this fascinating book, written by two animal-behavior scientists. Packed with information on why and how wild creatures 'talk,' this volume is also user-friendly because of its engaging anecdotes that sometimes tell about actual instances of animal interactions and other times suppose fact-based scenarios. Blended with straightforward documentary text ...
