Atlas of Middle-earth2 reviews
Karen Wynn Fonstad

Easton Press, 1991

The perfect complement for the avid Tolkien reader
A true gem and a masterpiece. The author puts together a wealth of geographical, sociological and historical information from excerpts of Tolkien's work, and does so in a well-structured, easy to read, manner. This book can be used as a reference guide as well as a good night read. I own a copy in Spanish (my mother tongue) and I'm considering getting an English version too.

The Atlas of the Land5 reviews
Karen Wynn Fonstad

Ballantine Books, 1985

Excellent pictorial representation of The Land
I purchased this book in between reading the First and Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. After reading the First Chronicles, I had a great admiration for Mr. Donaldsons depiction of Thomas Covenant and his journeys through The Land. He tells an outstanding story (which remains my favorite fantasy series to this day). It was not until I read Ms Fonstad's Atlas of the Land that I acquired a ...

Atlas of Pern6 reviews
Karen Wynn Fonstad

Corgi Childrens, 1985

The essential companion to Anne McCaffrey's Pern series.
Anne McCaffrey paints word pictures of her imaginary world. Karen Fonstadt brings those pictures to graphic life with her maps, illustrations and explanations. I've often faulted McCaffrey's publishers for cover art that jarred with my mental images of her characters and their surroundings. Ms Fonstadt has managed to give a visual form to my imaginings that is completely consistent with my own ...

Atlas of the Dragonlance World (Dragonlance Books)5 reviews
Karen Wynn Fonstad

Random House Childrens Books, 1987

Love it
This is a great book for any Dragonlance enthusiast. By some odd reason, I found two of them in the same used bookstore (after hunting everywhere for it for 3 years.) Well, so now I'm the lucky owner of two Atlas's which i don't mind, but still, why do I need two? But anyway, when reading the chronicles and the legends, this is one helpful book to have on hand (while reading the chronicles ...
