book review
Totally awesome way to introduce the topic of Aspbergers to someone. Completely appropriate way to open discussion with a child who feels different and affirm understanding of that difference. At the most superficial level is just a cute read, well done.

It Would Be Tough If You Had a Dog With ADHD!
All the pictures are so fun and I'm sure it will reinforce your understanding of ADHD. But what if you kept a dog with ADHD, especially an impulsive one? You might get agitated to find dealing with an ADHD dog demands a lot of patience and hard work. Sometimes you might be exhausted because of his/her daredevil and topsy-turvy behaviors. It would be best if the author explained procrastination ...

Lisa and the Lacemaker: An Asperger Adventure4 reviews

Asperger's & Old Lace
One of the best mysteries featuring a protagonist with Asperger's Syndrome. I like this one even better than the Ben books! Lisa, a tween (8-12) has Asperger's Syndrome (AS) which is the spectrum partner to autism. Readers are introduced to her as she suffers the sensory agony of wearing a dress with a scratchy neck (one can really feel for her there) and the loud guests at her grandmother's ...

Compare Ben's Life BEFORE and AFTER His Diagnosis With Asperger Syndrome
Ben had taken a real beating at school; he caught it from his cranky homeroom teacher, was bullied by Troy and Scott, and had a lot of trouble for telling the difference between the literal interpretations and the implications, which often led to misunderstanding. But things had been gradually better since Miss Sue Browning-Lever saved Ben who Troy and Scott bullied. Then she became mellower ...

Haze4 reviews

Hazy Shades
This book makes me think of the 1968 Jimi Hendrix classic, "Purple Haze." "Purple haze, all through my brain, lately things don't seem the same." People with Asperger's Syndrome (AS) can relate to that sentiment - what seems so straightforward to neurotypicals is hazy and confusing to people with AS. Seb, 17 has Asperger's Syndrome (AS) which is the spectrum partner to autism. He is ...

Of Mice and Aliens: An Asperger Adventure9 reviews

This book REALLY Rocks!!!!!!
This book was a really good book about a boy with Asperger's and an Asperger's adventure. I am a 10 year old boy with Asperger's and this was a great book with a great title. It was kind of an adventure and a mystery. I think parents with kids with Asperger's should read these 2 books, because they help explain how a kid with Asperger's thinks.
