Bunnies, Crocodiles, and Me: Stories of Baby Beginnings1 review
Frederic Houssin, Cedric Ramadier, ..., 1999

ENJOYED EVERY PAGE OF THIS ONE
This is truly a strange little book. It is the work of 13 different authors and artists and addresses the subject of birth. How did we get here? How were we born? Each story if quite different and each artist is quite unique in their take of the subject. Some of the stories do address the subject of evolution. Some of love. Some of the stories are a bit graphic. Please refer to the review ...

The Calcium Bomb: The Nanobacteria Link to Heart Disease & Cancer16 reviews
Douglas Mulhall, Katja Hansen

Writers' Collective, 2004

Extraordinary Book
I just finished reading an extraordinary book, The Calcium Bomb: The Nanobacteria Link to Heart Disease and Cancer. It also explains for the first time, the possible etiology and outline for a real treatment of my own ailment (which I know quite a bit about) ankloysing spondylitis. This is a work of excellent investigative scholarship and if its basic premise is true, namely that nanobacteria ...

Has Heart Disease Been Cured?2 reviews
Douglas Mulhall, Katja Hansen

Writers' Collective, 2003

Advocating a re-evaluation of contemporary medical practices
Has Heart Disease Been Cured? is a breakthrough work by journalist Douglas Mulhall and a biological engineer Katja Hansen. The two collaborators have tirelessly labored to present their findings that the root cause of heart disease and "hardening of the arteries" may not be excess fat, but rather a microbiological infection that can be treated and cured without the necessity of surgical ...

Invisible1 review
Katja Kamm

North-South Books, 2006

Extremely Creative!
Invisible/Visible is as much an art book as a kids book. Great fun for kids, as it is filled with visual tricks, silly characters and surprises. As an adult, I love it for its very contemporary art look. It's a totally unique book in my collection. Check it out!

Empire Kosher Chicken Cookbook6 reviews
Katja Goldman

Hearst Books, 1999

A different kosher cookbook....
This cookbook is great! The recipes in here are a nice change from same, repeated Hungarian-style recipes found in every other kosher cookbook. Although the long lists of ingredients and instructions might seem daunting to some, the recipes are not difficult, and so far, every recipe I've tried from the book has come out well.

Human Anatomy & Physiology with Book(s) and Other1 review
Elaine Nicpon Marieb, Katja Hoehn

Addison Wesley Publishing Company, 2007

Disappointed with Amazon.com
I normally don't do reviews but after my experience with Amazon.com I feel it is well deserved and I am justified in my thoughts. I was excited to know that I could purchase my book from Amazon when everyone else had it on back order but I was very disappointed when I actually received my books. I made my purchase in plenty of time for my class and was excited to know that their promised ...

The A to Z of Corporate Social Responsibility: A Complete Reference Guide to Concepts, Codes and Organisations4 reviews
Wayne Visser, Dirk Matten, ...

Wiley, 2008

A 'treasure chest' for everyone interested in CSR!
Finally! Probably everyone interested in and working with or on Corporate (Social) Responsibility will be glad that this publication came out. Indeed, it was about time: In the last two decades, CSR has become an `en vogue' topic and more and more dealt with in theory and practice. However, many misunderstandings, misinterpretations and prejudices circulate on the contents of CSR. The "A to Z" ...

Camp Heartland is a loving community for children that have been affected by HIV. The children who attend the camp enjoy all of the activities of other normal children. A Journey of Hope is filled with stories, poems, and thought from the councillors, ...

Temple of Wotan : Holy Book of the Aryan Tribes16 reviews
Ron McVan, Katja Lane

14 Word Press, 2000

Insight Into the Ancient Beliefs of the European Folk and Nations.
There is no higher incentive for learning than self-esteem that flows spontaneously from awareness of a great past. In "Temple of Wotan: Holy Book of the Aryan Tribes" Ron McVan offers us insight and awareness of that great past. There are numerous photographs and inspiring illustrations throughout the book. We find the complete `Havamal', C.G.Jung's Essay on Wotan, a study of runes and an ...

Understanding Autonomous Cooperation and Control in Logistics: The Impact of Autonomy on Management, ...1 review

Springer, 2007

a valuable resource
There has been much applied research, beginning with the Cohen, March and Olsen "Garbage Can Model" 35 years ago, on how decisions are really made, and what bad results can ensue. In recent years, especially in the US, much of this work has used agent-based simulation. There has been little connection, however, to theories about why organizations decide as they do. This book does a commendable ...

Nichts als die Wahrheit.1 review
Dieter Bohlen, Katja Kessler

Heyne, 2002

Masterpiece!
This book is super super "toll" (great). As someone who has read this Buch 25 times (and counting), I can say this with true expertise. Dieter, in a word, is very, very wise. Are you looking for a book to change your life, to inspire beyond belief? Well, here it is. Dieter has the voice of an angel, both in his writing, and in his music. Modern Talking (the superband of Germany) is nothing ...

The astonishing adventures of Patrick the mouse1 review
Katja Beskow

Delacorte Press, 1967

'Astonishing' is a good description.
Patrick is an eight-years old Swedish mouse, who's gets more than he bargained for when he decides to visit his grandmother alone. Patrick adventures include a stint as a magician's assistant, intrigue in Paris, crime-fighting on the high seas, and finally back to Sweden. I remember reading the book when I was ten years old and I thought it was kind of boring. However, after re-reading the book ...

Might is Right - The Survival of the Fittest39 reviews
Ragnar Redbeard, Ron McVan, ...

14 WORD PRESS, 1999

"Disobedience is the stamp of the hero!"
In light of the supposed current 'financial market crisis' (September 17, 2008), I believe this book can shed some light on the situation. My version of 'Might Is Right' is a reprint of the 1910 version. I find this relevant because in my book Mr. Ragnar Redbeard states: "The easiest way for a band of public robbers to plunder a nation, is for them to issue counterfeit currency, and ...

Human Anatomy & Physiology (7th Edition)24 reviews
Elaine N. Marieb, Katja Hoehn

Benjamin Cummings, 2006

Best of the best when it comes to A&P
My first copy of Marieb's Anatomy and Physiology (4th Edition - 1997) was a gift. Even though I was too young to get into the nitty gritty of physiology at that time, I wore out the chapters on skeletal and muscular anatomy. Since then, this book has been one of my most prized reference texts. I refuse to part with my 4th edition which has served me well for so many years but I finally decided ...

I believe everyone should enjoy this wonderful book , full of wonderful illustrations and details about the beautiful art of impressionism. Few words can describe the artistry and talent of this book, and I believe it should be a classic experienced and read by all.

Snail Started It!1 review
Katja Reider, Angela Von Roehl, ...

North-South / Night Sky Books, 1999

Character Development
I use this book in my first grade classroom. It is great for predicting and for discussing cause and effect. I use it to help build my classroom environment at the beginning of the year as we discuss how our actions and words affect others.

Deceived, Damned & Defiant -- The Revolutionary Writings of David Lane10 reviews
David Lane, Ron McVan, ...

Fourteen Word Pr, 1999

Get Glasses
Anyone claiming to be Pagan can't deny that it comes from their roots. Ancestry is a very important part of your culture-it IS the birth place of your culture. There is no racism in nature, culture comes from every race, stay true to it and you can't fail. Anyone "heathen" claiming that this book is racist is not doing such a good job of standing up for their heritage. D,D, and D is on my top ...
