Dead of Night
This book contained stories that were evocative, interesting and well-written. Held my interest all the way through.

*OP Mage: Sorcerers Crusade (Mage the Sorcerers Crusade)8 reviews
Phil Brucato, Brian Campbell, ...

White Wolf Publishing, 1998

A time of wonder and reason
The Sorcerers Crusade is a fine book, which contains everything you need to get a Renaissance game going. The Traditions and the Order of Reason are both given equal treatment. It is interesting to see the Order of Reason before they got reorganized into the Technocratic Union. This was a time when their paradigm was not as accepted as miracles and traditional D&D-style spell craft. This book is ...

Flamingo Watching1 review
Kay Ryan

Copper Beech Press, 2006

Library Journal Eat Your Words!
Perhaps that Library Journal review should be reconsidered... Kay Ryan has just been named Poet Laureate for the US, and is perhaps most highly praised on the strength of this book.

"uncle!"
lyrics of moral turpitude and musical agility (the brief lines of Kay Ryan maintain their integrity), and therein lies their beauty.

Elephant Rocks: Poems4 reviews
Kay Ryan

Grove Press, 1997

Kay Ryan is the best poet now at work in America.
Once every couple of generations, an original thinker manages to refresh an art form that had seemed exhausted. Kay Ryan has done this with poetry. Her poems rhyme--but not in the ways and places you expect. They're metrical--but only according to the author's own quirky standard. They're short, tight, and disciplined--and yet they allow language to sprawl and luxuriate. Best of all, they're ...

J.D. Robb has done it again! All her books are great and "Suite 606" is no exception. Loved it!

The Niagara River: Poems (Grove Press Poetry)2 reviews
Kay Ryan

Grove Press, 2005

Lyrical Modern American Poems
The poetry is contempory and uses traditional elements, such as occational rhyme. Wonderful images and subjects that linger in the mind the day after reading them.

Bump in the Night22 reviews
J.D. Robb, Mary Blayney, ...

Jove, 2006

Great
As usually J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) has brought us the complicated Eve Dallas with all her baggage, passion and skills, to solve a murder. The complicated relationship between her and Rourke and the realistic futuristic setting make it all intriquing and enjoyable

Treating AIDS With Chinese Medicine (Health)1 review
Mary Kay Ryan, Arthur D. Shattuck

Pacific View PR, 1994

An Essential Sourcebook for TCM Practitioners
This title is an essential source for practitioners treating HIV/AIDS - especially in a community-based setting. It is extremely readable and provides information covering pattern identification, herbal and acupuncture treatment plans and practical advice on creating a non-profit community clinic serving this population. It is a book I refer to again and again.

California Here We Come!1 review
Pam Munoz Ryan

Charlesbridge Publishing, 1997

ADA
This book has a lot of nice pictures showing highlights of California. It is a lovely tour book for the young, school-age child. I was, however, disappointed to find misinformation in the book, i.e. The San Francisco page states that the Golden Gate Bridge is almost seven miles long! My commute would be ever so long each day if that were true - 1.7 miles is the length of the GGB.
