You Monsters Are in Charge: A Boisterous Bedtime Pop-Up 3 reviews Jill Sardegna
Little Simon, 2002
Toddler Mom My one year old loves this book. It is a wonderful distraction for him when he is getting changed or when I need a minute away from him. The book itself is brightly colored and stimulating for any baby to see. Definitely going to be a keepsake.

Meltdown solid This book follows previous Celebrity Meltdowns, contains 9 highly colored, double panel pop-ups, each with pull tabs and movable action, some of which I've never seen before. Mel Gibson has continuously running feet; Brittany gets a 4-way joystick; McConaughy has good, 4-way action; Naomi Cambell has nice action, both pop-up and pull tab; Nicole Richie crosses the fold (with difficulty); Keith ...

Roly Poly - Numbers (Roly Poly Books) 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Child's Play International, 2001
Roly Poly - Numbers Wonderful! The kids I work with all love this book. It unrolls into such delightful surprises. This book also leads into other fun activities as well as learning numbers and reading. For a creative art project we drew our own pictures of numbers with captions and surprises. The kids really enjoyed doing this activity as well as reading the book over and over again! Thank you for this ...

Owls Fly! (Kees Moerbeek) 2 reviews
McClanahan Book Company, 1996
A favorite of 9 month-old babies... to drool for! This is by far my favorite book. I've gotten past the chewing on the corner phase, and now I'm into ripping the pages--Weeee! Mommy was teaching me how to be gentle with my books, but Daddy lets me rip the pages. "Owls don't Fly, anymore", so now Mommy has to order me a new book. Out of all my books, I love this one the best! The colors are great and the animals very friendly. If you order ...

Countdown to Christmas (Roly Poly) 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Child's Play International Ltd, 1996
So silly! This book is fun-ny! Especially all the gross parts! It makes us laugh to see dogs and cats smoke. Even to see them smoke in the cinema! They even smoke big cigars and old-fashioned pipes! So silly!

The Spooky Scrapbook 2 reviews Kees Moerbeek
Little Simon, 2000
spooky scrapbook I work in a bookstore and I have been keeping my eye on this book because it looked so fun just from the cover. Finally I opened it and read the book. I thought it was great! The story was fun. I think my favorite part were all the pop-ups especially the one where they dance. It is a great book for people of all ages! I highly recommend it.

Crabs Grab!: A Pop-Up Book (Kees Moerbeek) 3 reviews
Learning Horizons, 1996
By far the best pop-up book I have ever bought for my kids! This is my 4 1/2 year old daughters favorite book. We read it every night before bed and she loves doing the actions along with the story. It's a sturdy book with colorful, pop-up, illustrations.

Let's Go (Whizzers) 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Childs Play Intl Ltd, 1992
Jennifer, mother of 6 month old boy This book is very high quality. My son loves the vibrant colors and thick easy to turn pages. It is a nice introduction to the different modes of transportation and the moving shapes and parts invite him to freely explore. Even though he cannot move them himself, he loves to watch me unfold the many surprises on each page. Very cool book!

Dih Patrick's Problem (Did It Happen Series) 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Price Stern Sloan, 1990
Patrick's Problem... This was my Son's favorite book. He is a freshman in high school, and we still have it. In fact, I just tracked one down on a hard-to-find book website and ordered one for a little guy named Patrick we know.
This story takes Patrick on a dream journey where he meets different "monsters" in his night adventure. This is a great bedtime book, as it shows that Patrick has wild dreams, but they are ...

Raggedy Ann and Andy and the Camel with the Wrinkled Knees (Raggedy Ann) 12 reviews Johnny Gruelle
Little Simon, 2003
Excellent Edition My kids, ages three and five, absolutely love the book and listen to the whole thing beginning to end with no problem. They love the story and the pictures both.
The story is very sweet; Raggedy Ann and Andy set off to rescue a doll and also end up rescuing a little boy, all with the help of a good fairy, of course.
The pop-ups are delicate enough that I wouldn't leave the book lying ...

Alfred Hitchcock: The Master of Suspense 12 reviews Kees Moerbeek
Simon & Schuster Childrens Books, 2006
Great but short Hitchcock pop-up Book This is an oversized book (~12"x12") that sets some of Alfred Hitchcock's suspense movies to pop up. There are seven 2-page spreads, each one covering a different movie (chronologically): Saboteur, Vertigo, Psycho, The Birds, Marnie, Torn Curtain, and Frenzy.
Each spread contains a full-spread pop up, the title in its original font, a brief synopsis of the movie and a behind-the-sense fact, ...

Undersea (Open Sesame) (Moerbeek, Kees. Open Sesame.) 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Price Stern Sloan, 1997
Great Way to Engage the Toddler Well, as a mom who loves books, this one has captured the love of books with a toddler's need to control things. This is a very sturdy book with "peek-a-boo" pictures that swing out that can stand up to very grabby hands (as opposed to the flap books that get ripped very quickly) There is not really a story, but it has a very cute punch line at the end.

The Diary of Hansel and Gretel 1 review
Little Simon, 2002
Delightful! As a 1st and 2nd Grade reading teacher - I found this book to be a great addition to introduce and supplement materials I used with the students. It helps to add a "new twist" to this genre - and the students were delighted!

Roly Poly Nursery Rhymes (Roly Poly Books) 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Child's Play International, 2001
Clever Book--popular with all my nieces and nephews This clever book is a favorite of my three to five year old nieces and nephews. The real appeal of this creative pop-up book is that it works like a sort of reverse Russian stacking doll toy, with each new nursery rhyme hidden inside the last, until you have "unstacked" the whole book. Of course, as with other pop-up books, there is the danger of the child breaking the book, but this book is ...

Bugs (Open Sesame) (Open Sesame) 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Price Stern Sloan, 1998
Colorful and fun! My daughter is only 9 months old and she loves "Bugs." Not only is the 'open sesame' characteristic of the book unique, she thinks it's funny when the bugs come out of nowhere. This book also starts counting since each page has one more bug. The recommended age is 4-8, but it's never too early to start your children reading will all different kinds of books.

Santa's Surprise!: A Pop-Up Rebus Book 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Piggy Toes Press, 1998
Visually Stunning This book is a true delight. The holiday text is brought to life by the three-dimensional pop-up pictures that thrill and delight. Opening this book is like opening a gift that's a visual treat. The stunning illustrations captivated even casual onlookers as I recently scanned a copy in a bookstore. I am purchasing additional copies for friends. Highly recommended.

Whizzers Set 1 (Board Books - Whizzers) 1 review
Child's Play (International) Ltd, 1992
Hands-Down Preschooler Favorite! We bought this set when our daughter (now entering college) was a baby. She loved the books, and since that time they have been loved by her many younger cousins. Currently we have nieces age two and four who visit our house frequently. They love to be read to, and these books are always their first choice. I was very disappointed to find that they are out of print, because I would have loved to ...

Who's Peeking at Me (Pop-up Novelty) 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Golden Books Publishing Company, Inc, 1994
we still love this book We have been reading this book, on and off for three years now and Felix and his parents still havent tired of it. It really is a wonderful book and it is a shame that most of his books are out of print. The pop-ups are brilliant - they are pretty sturdy, although Felix has ripped some of them I was able to tape them up.

Dinosaurs (Open Sesame) (Open Sesame) 1 review Kees Moerbeek
Price Stern Sloan, 1998
Boom,Boom! My seventeen month old loves books, especially the Boom,Boom Dinosaur book. The first page starts off with a "soft" boom-boom. As the pages turn, the boom-boom gets louder as the dinosaur gets closer. She adores this book, and, it teaches her the concept of how a noise gets louder as the object gets closer.
