Fundamentals of Java: Comprehensive, Second Edition2 reviews
Kenneth Lambert, Martin Osborne

Course Technology, 2002

If you're looking for a first Java book
this should be it. Lambert and Osborne present an EXCELLENT overview of JAVA in this book. In contrast to some of the other reviews, I found that their BreezySwing package made it easy to avoid most of JAVA's interface cruft so that you can focus on the fundamental programming concepts. In many other respects, this is definitely one of the top JAVA textbooks available.

Fundamentals of Java: AP* Computer Science Essentials for the A & AB Exams, Third Edition1 review
Kenneth Lambert, Martin Osborne

Course Technology, 2006

Why are so many Java books so horrible?
My dad wants to learn Java, and I remember reading this book for my AP Computer Science A class and learning Java from it. Sadly, it's not in the library, nor is it in any Barnes and Noble or Borders bookstore. The books they have are of the line Java for Dummies or Java in X days, and man are they horrible. I actually saw one Java book at Borders from Schildt, and thought it might be good ...

Java: Complete Course in Programming & Problem Solving3 reviews
Kenneth Lambert, Martin Osborne

Course Technology, 1998

A good second or third Java Book
This book provides the new-novice Java programmer with some practical examples for using Java for the study of Computer Science. Unlike many of the Java books out there this one does not skimp on the instruction of Computer Science principals in parrellel with the instruction of the Java language. As a plus it has some pretty useful breakdowns of classes that will be useful to a new Java ...

Advanced Accounting (The Irwin Series in Undergraduate Accounting)2 reviews
Calvin Engler, Leopold A. Bernstein, ...

Richard D Irwin, 1994

I would give that a zero star if I could
Among all the terrible accounting textbooks known to students, this one tops it all. Advanced accounting is a hard subject and that's why it's more important to have a good text to aid students going through the subject. This text will make the learning process even harder for students, thanks for its bad English, badly organized style, bad examples, tediously long wordings, and outdated data ...

C++ class templates are introduced early and used throughout to implement the ADTs. Overloaded operations and ...

Analysis, Repair and Individuation (Library of Analytical Psychology)1 review
Kenneth Lambert

Academic Press Inc, 1981

Publisher's comments
Lambert, like Jung, emphazises the importance of the person of the analyst for the course of his own analysis, which includes the analyst's development in the course of his own analysis and all further personal growth; for all this inevitably determines the kind of patient, and the sort of problem he can - or cannot - work with. Lambert also suggests ways in which the analyst's ...
