Metal Swarm (The Saga of Seven Suns) 21 reviews Kevin J. Anderson
Orbit, 2007
Same as the rest doesn't disappoint! I've read the 5 previous books and the 6th (Metal Swarm ) doesn't disappoint. You either love this series or you hate it. No in between.
I like it because it's like reading 4 or 5 books all in one. A long book that is made up of intertwining short stories.
It takes a long time for the plot to develop and that is why some people do hate this series. After all we live in a society of instant ...

Tales of the Bounty Hunters (Star Wars ) 96 reviews
Spectra, 1996
Last One Standing This is such a good book. Takes me back to my childhood when I first read it. My favorite story is "The Last One Standing". Also, Tales From Jabba's Palace and Tales from Mos Eisley are both equally superb.

Prodigal Son (Dean Koontz's Frankenstein, Book 1) 108 reviews Dean R. Koontz, Kevin J. Anderson
Books on Tape, 2005
Amazing This book is amazing on so many levels. It takes the traditional Frankenstein story and weaves a modern tale of secrets, deception, and corruption hidden under a thin veneer of high society. It is creepy how probable some of the things in this book are. It is a sad tale, but it pulls you in and won't let go. I would recommend this book for anyone with a healthily inquisitive mind and a bit of ...

Tales from Mos Eisley Cantina (Star Wars) 53 reviews
Spectra, 1995
The best of the tales of/from series I've read. I've read all but one of the tales of/from series. There were a couple of duds, but overall a good collections of stories. The most interesting one was the last one concerning the "wolfman." I found the one about the pipe smoker a little disturbing and didn't like it. I would recommend this book it is worth your time to read.

Paul of Dune Brian Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson
Tor Books, 2008
Frank Herbert's Dune ended with Paul Muad’Dib in control of the planet Dune. Herbert’s next Dune book, Dune Messiah , picked up the story several years later after Paul’s armies had conquered the galaxy. But what happened between Dune and Dune Messiah ? How did Paul create his empire and become the Messiah? Following in the footsteps of Frank Herbert, New York Times bestselling authors Brian Herbert and Kevin J. ...

House Atreides (Dune: House Trilogy, Book 1) 414 reviews Brian Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson
Spectra, 2000
Good Detail This book has good detail and is a great continuation of the Dune saga, but in reverse since it is Prequel in nature. I think this does the magnificent world of Dune justice because it is so rich in detail and the plots//premises are so interesting. This particular installment of the new series is focused on the Atreides family but we still learn a lot about other Dune factors such as the ...

Scattered Suns (The Saga of Seven Suns) 24 reviews Kevin J. Anderson
Orbit, 2007
I enjoy the series more and more The initial book in the series spends almost too much time "taking off", as you are introduced to the complex vastness of characters and history of Anderson's universe; but now that I'm well into the story and many of the plotlines are intersecting, I'm finding each sequel more enjoyable. The complexity is a very positive characteristic of the series now.
Much is revealed in this fourth ...

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi - Redemption 20 reviews Kevin J. Anderson, Chris Gossett
Dark Horse, 2001
A great book and a fitting end to a great series! This interesting book is the final book in the Knights of the Old Republic series. The series is a collection of graphic novels that takes the reader to the Old Republic, thousands of years before the events of The Phantom Menace.
This graphic novel brings the story to its conclusion. Ulic Qel-Droma is a broken man, blinded to the Force, and exiled from everything he has known or loved. But, ...

Star Wars Omnibus: Tales of the Jedi Volume 2 (Star Wars: Omnibus) 2 reviews Tom Veitch, Kevin J. Anderson, ...
Dark Horse, 2008
Excellent Material... Should be a movie (or trilogy) This omnibus edition from Dark Horse contains the Exar Kun war. To most Star Wars enthusiasts, this may or may not make a lot of sense. So, for those who have played Knights of the Old Republic, it contains the exploits of the Qel-Droma clan and Nomi Sunrider. For those who have read the Jedi Academy books where Luke sets up the Academy on Yavin IV, it tells the story of Exar Kun and how he ...

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (Movie Novelization) 12 reviews Kevin J. Anderson
Pocket Star, 2003
a very enjoyable read! Most of the negative reviews about this novel complain that it's not the comic book. It's not the comic, but I don't think that's a bad thing. The novel is well written and characters, like Quatermain, are closer to their literary selves than Moore's reworked versions. Fans of the original characters and the LXG movie will enjoy this the most. I did.

Hunters of Dune 152 reviews Brian Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson
Tor Science Fiction, 2007
Hunters of Dune I have enjoyed all of these books by Kevin and Brian immensely. In fact, I find it harder to set these down than the original novels (definitely read the pre Dune Jihad Battle novels before these, they tie together nicely that way). They have rekindled my interest in the original novels. After Paul of Dune I am going to reread the originals to further enhance my overall Dune experience.

Good start The first novel in Anderson's new original series is well done, with an intriguing premise. Mankind has gone to the stars, but we may not be ready for what awaits us there. When we inadvertently awaken a sleeping dragon, a war that will consume the galaxy erupts and we must trust in allied who have their own ...

Older by a mere five hours, Gwen likes to think of herself as the one in charge. Vic likes to use his love of fun to rile his cousin up. Since they both live with Carlton Arthur "Cap" Pierce, Vic's father and Gwen's uncle, ...
