Last Writes: A Day book for Dying Friends ( Writing Lives by Laurel Richardson
Richardson is a well known academic writer who has inspired many students of qualitative writing to get on with it and learn to love it. Writing Strategies: Reaching Diverse Audiences (Qualitative Research Methods)2 reviews
Laurel Richardson

Sage Publications, Inc, 1990

Writing Strategies by Laurel Richardson is Must Reading
For students struggling to understand what it means to do qualitative research, Laurel Richardson's book on Writing Strategies is an excellent resource. The book is very helpful in differentiating conventional forms of scientific writing from the more interpretive forms of writing that are typical of qualitative research. The book is very readable. Richardson makes complex ideas accessible.

New Other Woman5 reviews
Laurel Richardson

Free Press, 1987

Empowering, informative
this book is empowering to those who fit the title, and informative and myth-shattering to others. i cannot disagree more with the previous reviewer, this book is extremely accessible. while reading through the descriptions, case studies, and most importantly the "stages" of these affairs, i was angered, enlightened, and ultimately empowered to do something about my situation. i believed there ...

Feminist Frontiers3 reviews
Laurel Richardson, Verta Taylor, ...

McGraw-Hill Humanities/Social Sciences/Languages, 2000

Great Textbook, BUT Not Much Is New In This Edition
As always, Feminist Frontiers is a great collection of essays -- a great textbook for any Women's Studies class. However, not much has been updated in this 5th edition. As far as I can tell, it is virtually the same as the 4th edition. I think getting a used copy of Feminist Frontiers IV (ISBN 0070523797) is a much better value. Either way, you will thoroughly enjoy the readings in this book.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue? A Study of the Thatcher Government's Appropriation of American Education ...
David Finegold (Editor); Laurel McFarland (Editor); William Richardson (Editor)

Symposium Books, 1993

A distinct pattern emerged in the British education and training reform process in the latter half of the 1980s. A government minister or a team of policy experts paid a brief study visit to the United States; a short time later a new initiative was announced which bore a close resemblance to a US programme. More recently, the flow of policy ideas across the Atlantic appears to have reversed direction. This book develops a three-tiered approach ...
