Led Zeppelin Presence Guitar Tab (Authentic Guitar-Tab)2 reviews

Alfred Publishing Company, 2000

Presence
Wow! Presence itself is one of my favorite LedZep albums, and one of the most advanced ones. This book is definitly not for beginners, but is a great book for any fan of Zeppelin who is a skilled guitar player. It does a great job of explaining the really complicated parts (such as the overlay on Achilles Last Stand). A must have for any serious Led Zeppelin Fan.

Led Zeppelin Classics (Authentic Guitar-Tab)9 reviews
Led Zeppelin

Hal Leonard Corporation, 2000

Zeppelin
All I have say is "Wow" this book is incredible. I've been playing guitar for about 3 months now, and I'm a HUGE Zeppelin fan so I decided to get this book. I think I might have bit off a little more than I can chew. I can play the riffs from a few songs, but that's about it. But, as they always say "Practice makes perfect." If you're experienced with a guitar, I would HIGHLY recommend this.

Led Zeppelin 5th Album, Houses of the Holy, "Off the Record"1 review

Warner Chappell Music Limited, 1992

Nice, accurate transcription.
This book of transcription for Led Zeppelin's 5th Album, "Houses of the Holy" has it all -- sheet music and/or tablature for every instrument, lead guitar, second guitar, 12-string guitar, bass, piano, electric piano, keyboard, voice and drums. The complete package. I don't think those other books offer the complete package the way this one does. This is hard to find -- get yours today! Songs ...

Classic Led Zeppelin III & IV (Bass Tab)1 review

Alfred Publishing Company, 1999

no suprises, well satisfied.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. If you want to play John Paul Jones' bass lines from III or IV, this is the book for you. Has both notation and tab, so it'll work great for you even if you can't read music. Overall I'm well satisfied and got exactly as much out of this book as expected.

The New Best of Led Zeppelin for Guitar (Easy Tab Deluxe)1 review

Alfred Publishing Company, 1999

Great for learning
I have found that learning from the easy tab version of the Alfred Publications has given me the chance to play songs that I couldn't before since I don't read music notations.

Led Zeppelin IV (Alfred's Classic Album Editions)1 review
Led Zeppelin

Alfred Publishing, 1992

Authentic tabs of what is, arguably, the greatest rock album in history
Led Zeppelin IV or Zoso is universally respected and enjoyed by rock fans worldwide. It is this magnificent band's magnum opus, and has such songs as Stairway to Heaven and When the Levee Breaks, that every aspiring guitar hero wants to learn to play. The tabs are accurate, as simple as they can be made, and usable even by beginners. The tab notations are easily readable, and there is a clear ...

Led Zeppelin Iv (Authentic Guitar TAB)1 review
Led Zeppelin

ALFRED PUBLISHING, 2006

note for note
I've worked through the book, it's accurate. Only thing that makes me a little less enthusiastic about it, is the fact that some of the best songs use mandolins pretty heavily. So, if you're trying to play through with just a guitar, it's going to sound pretty thin. other than that, it's a solid book, having the rhythm notation with a reliable tab makes getting through the solos a breeze. It's ...

Classic Led Zeppelin I-V(box-set)8 reviews
Led Zeppelin

Alfred Publishing, 1996

Amazing
This set comes with 5 books with accurate transcriptions of the first 5 Led Zeppelin albums. All of the solos, fills, mandolin, alternate guitar tunings, and in some cases organ/synth parts are transcribed as well. From album III - V there are detailed notes on each song in the beginning of the books that give insight into how the band recorded the song and sometimes some pointers on how to play ...

Mothership: Authentic Guitar Tab1 review

Alfred Publishing Company, 2008

VERSION: Piano/Vocal/Chords
Page, Plant and Jones hand selected this unprecedented, career spanning collection to best represent the entire body of work of Led Zeppelin. Prior to this songbook, many Piano/Vocal arrangements of Led Zeppelin songs were published in the "old-style," which meant the sheet music didn't necessarily match the epic recordings that made the songs famous. In preparing this massive 200-page sheet ...

Led Zeppelin: 1968-198016 reviews
Keith Shadwick, Led Zeppelin

Backbeat Books, 2005

A Top Zep Book
One of the best Led Zeppelin books, ever. Over 300 large pages with small print and filled with photos l'd never seen. Deals mainly with the music, its creation and presentation and, doesn't get bogged in drama or supposition. Mr. Shadwick is sometimes opinionated, but it only reveals his deep respect and knowledge of the band. The only disappointment is that the story always ends with Bonham's ...

Led Zeppelin Complete12 reviews

Alfred Publishing Company, 2000

Piano/Vocal edition (white cover) is good...for what it is
There are several different editions of "Led Zeppelin Complete". I own the one with the white cover and blue clouds, which is basically a "piano/vocal" edition, so that's the version that I'm reviewing here. I bought it back in '89 when there seemed to be no other Led Zeppelin music books in the stores. The book covers all the songs from the first 5 albums, minus the cover tunes (Lemon Song, ...

Classic Led Zeppelin I & II (Bass Guitar)5 reviews

Alfred Publishing Company, 1999

Great book, great music.
Now that the posts made it aware that it was for bass, which it doesn't specify, I'll give it a full five. I'm a relatively new bass player and it's done great for me. Dazed and Confused and The Lemon song have some of the two coolest bass lines ever, and what you hear from sources other than the official book will always be atleast partially inacurate. If you're a BASS player and you like ...

Just Led Zeppelin Real Book Complete Edition (Just Real Book)5 reviews
Led Zeppelin

Alfred Publishing, 2004

Best Led Zeppelin Book In Print
The format of this book will eventually (hopefully) put "written as recorded" tablature songbooks out of buisiness! It gives you the songs as they are intended to be played. Many tablature books print too many details, they even print mistakes made by the artist. Granted, this book assumes you know how to read basic notation. If you don't want to learn how to read a little music, you have ...

Best of Led Zeppelin Drums3 reviews

Alfred Publishing Company, 1999

Good Capture of Led Zeppelin Drums with some flaws
I am a great fan of John Bonham and Led Zeppelin. I always wanted to see how to play the songs besides looking at flawed tabs. If you are a drummer and are a fan of Led Zeppelin or John Bonham then you should buy this book. The only problem is that you might have a hard time following some of the songs because they do not explain any of the techniques. This gets a little frustrating when you ...

Led Zeppelin Classic Album Edition Box Set (I, II, III, IV, Houses Of The Holy) Authentic Guitar Tab Editions ...2 reviews
Led Zeppelin

Alfred Publishing, 2007

Great Zeppelin Guitar Tab Box Set!
Great box set!!! I don't know what the last reviewer was talking about (Mandolin Tab?) The box set clearly says Guitar Tab --- so he should have given it 5 stars like I am. Great albums: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Houses of the Holy, etc! It's all there. Authentic, artist-approved guitar tab! Highly recommended.

Drum Techniques of Led Zeppelin3 reviews
Led Zeppelin

Alfred Publishing Company, 1999

For experienced drummers only!
This is a high quality and well written book. I have a feeling the author went above and beyond to make this book as accurate as possible. One thing I will say though is that if aren't a really good drummer you may get lost in spot's. John Bonham was one of the greatest after all and his style is not easily duplicated. Meaning you should have a few years of experience in drumming before ...
