Nothing to Lose (Jack Reacher Novels) 68 reviews Lee Child
Delacorte Press, 2008
Everything to Gain Nothing to Lose (NTL) takes an old theme and revamps it into a modern masterpiece. It's very similar to the original Rambo movie, where an ex-military specialist finds himself wandering into a small town, is picked up by the local sheriff and escorted to the town line and told that drifters aren't welcome; of course Rambo returns to town and blows everything up. In NTL Reacher is treated ...

The Visitor (A Jack Reacher Novel) 116 reviews Lee Child
Bantam Press, 2000
Some Insights I am reading the series in order. I think this was the best one yet. It leaves my very excited to continue the Reacher series. We began to see more depth in Reacher as he struggles with understanding himself. The story moves forward at a wonderful pace. It was just great. While reading this I had the opportunity to hear Lee Child speak. He gave some insights that I think will be helpful. ...

Persuader 108 reviews Lee Child
Dell, 2008
Reacher undercover The story starts with Reacher intervening in a kidnapping attempt and mistakenly wounds and kills a local detective. Now what? Well, he can't go to the police with his story since he killed an officer, so he dumps the van he's using, hot-wires a car parked at a mall and goes into hiding. The story develops from there.
I don't know where or how Lee Child comes up with these story lines, but ...

Die Trying 115 reviews Lee Child
Bantam Books Ltd, 1998
Jack Reacher takes on a militant militia group in Montana Lee Child took the world of literary thrillers by surprise--and by storm--with his excellent debut novel, Killing Floor. Child's first book introduced readers to Jack Reacher, ex-military cop turned rugged-individualist vigilante. Written in first person and featuring nonstop action, Killing Floor delighted readers and created new Lee Child fans in the U.S. and around the world.

One Shot (Jack Reacher) 123 reviews Lee Child
Dell, 2006
Jack and the Sniper When there's a treat you can only enjoy on rare occasion, you may wait a bit to indulge in it. The anticipation heightens the pleasure, and when you finally get to it, you need to be careful not to have it disappear too quickly. Such are Lee Child's Jack Reacher books with me: delights I can only read once a year or so, lest I run out of them too quickly.
One Shot, the ninth Reacher book, ...

The Hard Way (Jack Reacher Novels) 157 reviews Lee Child
Dell, 2007
THE HARD WAY I chose this book because I wanted to listen to a book while I worked out. My local librarian suggested THE HARD WAY when I said I wanted a thriller, adventure type novel. I was not disappointed. After starting the story I became so interested in the plot that even after I finished my work-out I kept listening through some housework I had to do. And I couldn't stop listening so I dreamed up more ...

Thriller: Stories To Keep You Up All Night: James Penney's New Identity\Operation Northwoods\Epitaph\The Face ... 3 reviews Lee Child, James Grippando, ...
Mira, 2007
Thrilled to have this one available! There are a few reasons you should read this book. First, it is likely you will get a taste of the writings of authors you otherwise would not have ever tried.
Second, there are variations here on what defines a "thriller." Don't be prejudiced by your own definition of the term -- read these with an open mind to possibilities.
Third, if your life is as hectic as mine, it is great to be able ...

Brilliance Audio on CD, 2005
Lee Child CD Collection1. I first met Jack Reacher listening to the audio version of Lee Child's "Hard Way" and immediately wanted to read or hear more of his books, based on this character. I readily ordered the Lee Child CD Collection 1, happy to learn that such collections existed. As soon as I finish one Reacher novel I'm ready for the next. This character is a likeable loner, ex-military police, a highly ...

Lee Child CD Collection 2: Running Blind, Echo Burning, Without Fail (Jack Reacher) (Jack Reacher) 1 review Lee Child
Brilliance Audio on CD, 2007
They are Abridged First off not a fan of abridged books as you lose the depth of what the writer is doing in painting you a mental image. That said this is a great deal for Reacher fans who want a quick listen to three great stories. If you are looking as a first time reader of the Jack Reacher stories, I would recommend the actual books or unabridged versions also available on Amazon. I started with Tripwire and ...
