makes it very easy to learn a confusing program
I really like the "Teach Yourself Visually" computer books. I have a collection which includes a selection of all the popular "For Dummies" and similar computer guides, and the "Teach Yourself Visually" is by far the easiest for me to understand. The digital photography programs are very hard for me to learn, and this book helped a lot.

Excellent book for an entry level
Pros: the book is colorful, it has picture, step by step instructions, gives you a difficulty level of an exercise, full of tips, color coded by subject, very easy to navigate. Cons: the only wish is that they had more tips and tricks, otherwise it is an excellent book for such complected program as CS3.

It's intended for normal people
This book was great for me. I am a web application developer (database and code not graphics) and all I need to know is basics and I don't want to spend hours, days, years to learn it. This book is quick and concise and gets you going without having to wade through exhaustive text. If you are a graphics artist that does photoshop all day, every day, then get a book that is intended for ...

A few things don't match, otherwise very good.
Ocassionally I've found a few visuals that don't match my screen.........then I have to go back to a previous chapter and try to work through it. It might be that I have a slightly different version of PSE 6. Sometimes the visual is a bit small for my old eyes. But in all, the chapters are well done.

Very slow and long way to learn. Dont waste your money.
READ MORE - LEARN LESS To me this book was a complete waste of money . It is like a children book. And the writing for the HTML code was very small in size. Also this book is filled with drawings that has no objective. Please save your money and time and look for another book.
