The Devil You Know 48 reviews Liz Carlyle
Pocket Star, 2003
Beautifully Wraps Up the Wonderful Heartfelt Saga of the Rutledge Family Oh this was such a delight to read, as we FINALLY discover the key insights into one of the most notorious and tortured of Liz Carlyle's characters -- Bentley Rutledge. To get the most out of this book, it's pretty important to read the earlier novels about the family. "Beauty Like the Night" is essential as the previous chapter to this poignant story. "No True Gentleman" is important for an ...

The School for Heiresses 25 reviews Sabrina Jeffries, Liz Carlyle, ...
Pocket Star, 2006
Great collection from fantastic authors! Loved this collection of holiday stories about Ms. Harris' School for Heiresses! Loved Sabrina Jeffries' story of course, since she is the creator of the series. She captures scenes so well, and my only complaint was that I wanted more! Renee Bernard is a new-to-me author and I absolutely loved the short story she contributed. I'll be looking for more from her in the future.

The Start of an Addiction The story line is already described elsewhere in reviews.
My first Liz Carlyle novel and the beginning of my addictin to her books.
Sidonie and Aeric are a wonderful and perfectly matched romantic pair. Ms. Carlyle excells at the combination of romance and mystery. I love her formula and her execution in all these inter related stories. Ms. Carlyle has a wonderful way of bringing humor, in ...

No True Gentleman 31 reviews
Pocket Books, 2004
Another Wonderful Regency Romane Mystery The story line is already described elsewhere in reviews.
Catherine and Max are a heart breaking and then perfectly matched romantic pair. Ms. Carlyle excells at the combination of romance and mystery. I love her formula and her execution in all these inter related stories. Ms. Carlyle has a wonderful way of bringing humor, in to a story to help take the edge off of the drama. Ms. Carlyle's ...

My False Heart 32 reviews Liz Carlyle
Sonnet Books, 2000
No False Romance Ms. Carlyle has successfully captured the magical peace true love brings to the redeemed. The heroine in MY FALSE HEART, embodies the strength of the truly beautiful woman: not only in outward appearance, but as a person with so much love to give her family and friends, she is their safe harbor; one hunky rogue of a hero [must read the pond scene!] who is almost so lost in debauchery, he carries ...

A Woman Scorned 34 reviews
Pocket Books, 2004
One incredible book!! I tried very very hard to find this book after I read A woman of Virtue - and I am so glad i did. I only wish I could have read this first - it really sets one up well to understand the dynamics of David and Jonet. Unfortunately I read Virtue first so too much was known for me. However, that in no way could spoil what was one of the best books I have read recently. I would not have expected Cole, ...

A Woman of Virtue 25 reviews Liz Carlyle
Pocket, 2001
Wonderful sensual steamy historical Carlyle just doesn't write a bad book. Some are better than others, but they all guarantee a great read. I loved this one! In this book David, Lord Delacourt, has been secretly obsessed with Cecilia for over six years, and thanks to a bad bet with his brother-in-law Cole (from A Woman Scorned), he finds himself working side-by-side with her at a woman's shelter for 3-months. Cecilia had once ...

One Little Sin 30 reviews Liz Carlyle
Pocket Star, 2005
My Favorite of the Trilogy - hero finds love and redemption I've read all three of the Sins, Lies and Secrets Trilogy. Since I read them all out of order, I can tell you they are still good stand-alone but much better to read in order since they over-lap. Also the characters are recurring and it is nice to revisit them all later! This first book has what could be called "the gypsy's curse," but it is not the overwhelming premise in it and is mentioned ...

Two Little Lies 25 reviews Liz Carlyle
Piatkus Books, 2006
Loved it! Liz Carlyle is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! I love passionate historical romances that keeps me enthralled page after page, and she always delivers a story that I thoroughly enjoy. Two Little Lies is the sequel to One Little Sin. Though it can be read as a stand alone, it was interesting to read it after OLS because the stories actually overlap. The first hundred pages on TLL ...

Never Romance a Rake 17 reviews Liz Carlyle
Pocket, 2008
Liz, you had me at line one. As someone who also writes romances, I am always looking for a super read. I read for style more than plot or characterization.
I was in the grocery store a few weeks ago thumbing through books. I picked up this book.
I read the first line:
"October was a vile month."
That is the first line of Chapter 1.
Liz, you had me at line 1.
The hook is the single-most important aspect of ...

The One That Got Away 6 reviews Victoria Alexander, Eloisa James, ...
Avon, 2004
I'm glad this one didn't get away! What a charming collection of stories! I haven't read all of these authors before but I'm certainly going to be looking for their books in the future. My absolute favorite was the Eloisa James story "A Fool Again" which was so delightful and romantic that it reminded me of why we should all be "fools for love" at one time in our life. Or in this case, twice! These stories are like delicious ...

Big Guns Out of Uniform 17 reviews Nicole Camden, Liz Carlyle, ...
Pocket Star, 2005
Totally worth the price I would have to agree with one of the review that said that Sherrilyn Kenyon's "BAD to the Bone" was pretty terrible. I just couldn't get involved with the story it was so far fetched. In addition to which, neither of the characters were particularly engaging.
However, Nicole Camden's "The Nekkid Truth" was really interesting and unusual. I liked both of the characters in this story and ...
