Let's Play Rough!2 reviews
Lynne Jonell

Putnam Juvenile, 2000

An important book
Lots of children like to play rough with Dad but Dads sometimes get carried away. This book shows how children can stop the play when it scares them - but start up again at a lower level of intensity. It's also great fun and wonderfully illustrated.

Mommy Go Away (Picture Puffins)4 reviews
Lynne Jonell

Tandem Library, 2000

Have you heard these words????
If you have, then this book is for you! If your child is in the terrible twos-or threes, then you will both like this book! It is amusing for the toddler to be in the grown-up role. There is a message for parent and child alike.

I Need a Snake1 review
Lynne Jonell

Topeka Bindery, 2001

delightful
I loved this book. This story shares both Robbie's and his mother's feelings with humor, and you sympathize with both of them. Robbie solves his problem using his imagination, something kids really appreciate. The drawings are also darling, bright and colorful. This is one book I didn't mind reading more than once at a sitting.

Bravemole6 reviews

Putnam Juvenile, 2002

in Extra-ordinary times, no one is ordinary
I lost someone that day. It's not something I can easily discuss, et when I "accidentally" picked up this book for my construction loving son, I didn't know what I was in for, but I am so thankful to have read this book with my children, ages 6 and 8. My 8 year old recognized the storyline though my 6 year old didn't quite pick up on the parallels. It is genlty told, with MUCH room for ...

Emmy is an exceedingly well-behaved girl who enjoyed life with her parents and had many friends before an inheritance from a great uncle brings an end to cozy family interactions and Emmy and her parents move to her Great-Uncle's mansion. Now Emmy attends a new school, ...

It's My Birthday, Too1 review
Lynne Jonell

Turtleback Books Distributed by Demco Media, 2002

Siblings
Lynne Jones and Petra Mathers have portrayed a wonderful strategy, in this story, where the older child learns how to enjoy his special day and have his brother share in the activities. It is a very cute story. This would be an excellent book to share with an older child who is feeling that their younger sibling is being a pain, or with both siblings to show them how they can get along. I would ...
